Double Take - Cinematic Circus is a circus and filmmaking company with 3 fundamental functions:
1. Filmmaking (circus films and videos)
2. FILMMAKING

Performing (circus acts and shows)
3. Pedagogy (circus workshops, classes, private lessons, etc.) Created in 2016 by professional circus artists, Raphael Herault and Summer Hubbard, "Double Take - Cinematic Circus" is a circus and filmmaking company comprised of 3 branches:
1. PERFORMING
3. COACHING

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE COMPANY:
To create unique and high quality circus acts/shows, pedagogical

programs and videos. LONGTERM OBJECTIVE OF THE COMPANY:
To produce a full length [circus] feature film. A circus performance that is not destined for the stage but rather a circus performance that is inherently built and designed to be filmed, edited, and projected. DRIVING FORCE OF THE COMPANY:
Double Take - Cinematic Circus studies the characteristics of both, circus and cinema, in order to find different ways of linking, adapting, and transposing the techniques of each art form onto the other. For example, for the last few years they have been using their knowledge as professional circus artists/performers to help them create [circus] videos and now, as they head back to the stage, they aim to use their knowledge as professional cineasts to help them create the company’s first [outdoor] circus show, “Jump Cut”.
