Make your time in Brussels even more memorable with an exclusive beer tasting by local beer sommelier Carien in her cozy private tasting room!

All our private beertastings are customised. You get at least 4 Belgian craft beer tasters, each with a small foodpairing like cheese, chocolate etc.
During the tasting Carien will introduce the beers, the breweries and the pairings, but also talk more about beer styles, Belgian beer culture and brewing. Questions about beer are very welcome.

Ideal activity for both visitors and locals!

Tour de Gueze 2026 - I also visited Brouwerij Boon in Lembeek.
This beautiful brewery was founded in 1975 by Frank Boon. He started out as a beer blender as he was very passionate about gueze beer. In 1986 he moved the business to this location and in 1990 he brewed his first lambic. The brewery has grown a lot since and is known for their geuze and other lambic blends. It's now run by Frank's sons: Jos & Karel.
-> Well worth a visit and walking distance from the Lembeek train station.

Duivelsbier blond (6%) brewed by Brouwerij Boon in Lembeek (Belgium).
The Red Devils are playing tonight so I felt my beer of tonight should match the occasion. This blonde ale has a floral and malty aroma, is malty sweet and full bodied, but also has a good and lasting bitterness. The beer apparently "sprung from the devil's clutches" and goes back to 1883. It's now brewed by famous geuze-maker Boon. They have three different beers under this label: blond, dark and wild.

Good memories of an epic goodbye party for the ABC judges at Banana Jam Cafe / AfroCaribean Brewing Company in Cape Town. In fact, the evening was so much fun I barely took any photos😅
Delicious beers were had by all.
'Don't judge me' was brewed specially for the occasion, an amber ale brewed with rooibos. Yum!
Good memories as well of an IPA with coconut and something strong and spacy😅 Definitely a bar I will go back to next time, I mean, look at all those taps!

Oude Geuze (6.7%) brewed and blended by Brouwerij Timmermans in Itterbeek, just outside Brussels.
A tasty classic from the world's oldest brewery. A mild sour taste, a lot of flavour and a good body. Perfect to start an apero with.

Super Smooth fruited sour beer (5%) brewed by Aegir Project Brewery in Cape Town (South Africa)
I brought back one of these beauties from my trip to SA last month and on drinking it again I was still as happy as when I had in the Aegir taproom.
This slightly sour beer was brewed with blue spirulina, mango, passion fruit and pineapple. It has a very pretty blue colour and a rich blue foam. The aroma is quite tropical. The taste is very juicy but also has a good beer body underneath. Very easy drinking and delicious!

Badass spicy honey blond (6%) brewed by Tipsy Tribe brewery in Koekelberg, Brussels (Belgium), for the What Women Want association. This blonde was made with honey and chili pepper and that is definitely noticeable. It has a sweet and full-bodied malt taste with notes of honey that come out in a long lasting aftertaste together with a pleasant spicy tingle. Yum!

No Worries grapefruit - alcohol-free ipa (0.5%) brewed by Lervig in Stavanger (Norway).
This IPA has a strong grapefruit aroma, the taste is a bit milder though. It has a nice maltiness with notes of blood orange and a hint of grapefruit. A tasty thirst quencher!
