Please to announce some of my works will be part of the groupshow ‘Naturocene’ Project Space On The Inside in Amsterdam from 1 oct- 14 feb. The exhibition brings together over twenty contemporary artists whose practices explore ecological realities through sculpture, installation, moving image, research-based work, and hybrid media. The Naturocene is a speculative concept that opposes the Anthropocene, which is the era defined by humanity’s dominant impact on the Earth. Rather than placing humans at the centre of the planet’s systems, the Naturocene envisions a future in which humans are understood as one part of a broader community of life. It emphasizes coexistence, reciprocity, and the recognition of nature as an active agent with intrinsic value, inviting new ways of relating to the more-than-human world.

The exhibition introduces this speculative concept through works that explore interdependence, empathy, and resilience. It invites audiences to reconnect with the Earth by engaging with non-human perspectives.

The artworks give voice to nature, collaborate with it as a creative partner, and reveal what often remains hidden. They show and think differently, opening up new paths of sensing and knowing.

Conceived as a living ecosystem, the exhibition develops through fluid constellations of works, allowing materials, processes, and worldviews to interact dynamically.

Partcipating artist include Emma Talbot, Giulia Cenci, Maksud Ali Mondal, Kapwani Kiwanga, Alicja Kwade, Richard Long, Katie Paterson, Broersen & Lukács, Janis Rafa, David Nash and others.

Curated by Alessandra Laitempergher.

The exhibition is created in close collaboration with the Eye Filmmuseum, with collection curator Simona Monizza.

Ridiculously good remix album of ‘rock n’ roll station’ by Nurse With Wound. Originally issued in 1994, Rock ‘n’ Roll station is the album where Steven Stapleton’s decades-long engagement with collage, musique concrète, and the outer limits of post-industrial sound first met the hypnotic, rhythm-driven studio sensibility of Colin Potter. An hour of swivelling grooves, warped exotica, and looping psychedelia, channelling the ghosts of Pérez Prado, Graham Bond, Joe Meek, and Jacques Berrocal.
Joining the usual suspects of Colin Potter, Matt Waldron, Andrew Liles, and Diarmuid MacDiarmada is Jean-Jacques Birgé, the French composer, filmmaker, and co-founder of Un Drame Musical Instantané. Highly enjoyable easy listening addition to the NWW catalogue.

“Spark it up, jack into the wall.” You don’t try to clear the static in your head; you turn the amp up until the room shakes. For me these Silver paintings have a lot to do with turning anxiety into energy via disorder. So the song fits.

Happy to have installed these new paintings in collaboration with the amazing drummer Sun-Mi Hong, who will perform this Friday at Art Base Terneuzen! Many thanks to Cathy and Eva for inviting me and making this possible. Art Base Terneuzen is a pilot project to investigate if it is feasible to create a contemporary art platform in Zeeuws Vlaanderen. Its ambition is to bring people together and grow into an international institutional platform. Now based in the brutalist town hall, its aim is to be a “museum without walls”—a place of possibility and community. I am glad to play a part in this new chapter. This is an area where I spent a large part of my youth in the 1980s, where my involvement with culture began, and where my first creative principles were shaped. Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and more specifically the area around Terneuzen and Hulst, were the places where I first got involved with making music and noise. Back in the ‘80s, I started setting up shows for bands, designing t-shirts, flyers, posters, and zines, and even running a small tape label. Through these activities, I was invited by friends to paint on cars, garages, guitars, jackets, walls, and more. When you mention Zeeuws-Vlaanderen in the Netherlands, people tend to think it’s boring and that there’s nothing there. But when you dig a little deeper, for me, it was DIY heaven. Most people I knew were involved in making stuff happen—whether it was running small labels and venues, setting up concerts, playing metal, fire-breathing, customizing bikes, or organizing boat parties. It truly was a place of possibility. So, a big shout-out to all those punks, metalheads, weirdos, bikers, slackers, goths, builders, and players! The music on this post is by .zlhc showing the zvhc scene is very much alive! Hope to cu all there this friday ❤️
