D-1 Tectonics Brussels 🚀
Did you know you can experience a whole lineup of Tectonics events for free? Here is your guide to catching the creative energy of the festival without a ticket.
🆓 Ictus & Tarek Halaby (Fri, 19:00)
One of the most powerful works for narrator and ensemble in modern music. Frederic Rzewski’s Coming Together / Attica brings 1971 prison letters to life through intense musical energy that pushes violently against its own limits.
🆓 Hoda Siahtiri & Shaahin Peymani (Sat, 19:00)
For Those Who Live At The Shoreline is a ceremonial performance weaving live electronics with the sounds of mountains and landscapes, moving like the slow tides of the ocean.
🆓 Ictus plays Fabio Machiavelli (Sat, 17:15 & 22:00)
A live concert performance featuring handmade instruments and electronics that explore the deep sounds and vocal calls of large marine mammals.
🆓 Sound Installation: Fabio Machiavelli (Fri & Sat)
Step inside Studio 3 outside of live performance times to walk through and explore each custom instrument's independent sonic world on your own.
🆓 Expo Baudouin Oosterlynck (Fri & Sat)
What would the world sound like if your ears were a completely different shape? Since the 70s, Oosterlynck has created custom "listening instruments" that don't make sound, but fundamentally reshape how you hear space, air, and silence. Try them out during fixed session times in Foyer 3.
🆓 Sonic Harvest (Fri & Sat)
Three brand-new sound installations by young audio makers created from a "wild sonic foraging" expedition inside Flagey, including a stairwell piece driven by the live wind speed outside.
