Bardha, vajza ime, në ceremoninë e diplomimit në Berkeley Univesity, mori titullin Master of Developing Practice.
Unë e ndoqa nga sheshi i xhirimi te filmit Serra, e rrethuar nga kolegët e mi që gëzoheshin bashkë me mua ( falemnderit Armend që e xhirove këtë moment).
Dua të ndaj me ju një pjesë të fjalimit të Bardhës, që gjithëmonë më bën krenare!* citoj:
Speaking of home, I’m sure I’ve talked to many of you about Kosovo for way longer than just a few minutes –
how else would I make sure you know fun facts like it being one of the youngest countries in the world, that Dua Lipa is from there, or that our flag has Berkeley colors.
But Kosova is also still recovering from a war we lived through when I was just 5 years old.
And looking at the world today, in which development is under pressure and destructive forces seem louder than constructive ones, our ability to show up for our communities with empathy and humility becomes all the more necessary
