Our name XpressArt is composed by an X, symbolizing the female s*x (XX), since we are all women, "press" referring to limits to freedom of expression in the media and "art" as a way to express ourselves as well as a medium to promote freedom of expression. Xpress can be also be read like "express" so everything moves around the concept of "promoting freedom of expression through arts". The associ

ation was found by a group of young women in Brussels from different and interdisciplinary backgrounds, ranging from danse, circus and theatre to political sciences, european studies and cultural mediation.
