Le samedi 12 septembre, de 13h à 17h, le Chœur de Flagey Academy organise des auditions pour accueillir de nouvelles voix dès la rentrée scolaire 2026.
Tu as 11 ans ou plus et tu aimes chanter ? Viens tenter l’aventure et rejoindre un groupe passionné où la musique se partage, se vit et se crée ensemble.

On Saturday, September 12, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Flagey Academy Choir is holding auditions to welcome new voices for the 2026–2027 school year.
Are you 11 or older and love to sing? Come and give it a try, and join a passionate group where music is shared, experienced and created together.

With Wajdi Riahi, the tranquillity of summer never ends… Enjoy our last BJF26 memento to round off this wonderful holiday & see you soon for the Brussels Jazz Festival 2027 !

A quartet built around each musician’s sound and musical background. Wajdi Riahi composes with attention to tone and personality. Robert Yukic plays raw and fearless. Seamus Blake offers directness and emotional phrasing that leaves a mark. Kweku Sumbry, on drums and African percussion, brings colour and freedom. Each player draws from a distinct musical history. Together, they create a living sound, moving between structure and spontaneity. This project is about mutual listening, risk-taking, and open musical dialogue — rooted in trust and shared energy. A quartet as a living space where individuality becomes collective expression.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Abdullah Ibrahim.
The South African jazz composer and pianist was a powerful voice in music as well as a committed advocate for the anti-apartheid movement. Across a remarkable career, he remained a boundary-breaking artist whose compositions and performances transcended genres and borders.
May his revolutionary spirit live on.
