Spazio Nobile presents Didi Ng Wing Yin at Homo Faber in Venice. The Helsinki-based wood artist originally from Hong Kong has a practice bridging sculpture, furniture, and craft. Working by hand, he creates sculptural furniture and artworks distinguished by his innovative carving techniques. His creative process reveals the innate beauty of wood, balancing the material’s essence with the intuitive nature of craftsmanship and conceptual exploration. His work has gained wide international recognition, being a finalist for the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2025 (Spain), winner of the Rising Star of the Year Award at the Scandinavian Design Awards 2024 (Sweden), and recipient of Dezeen’s Emerging Designer of the Year Award 2024 (UK).

Discover in this video Homo Faber 2026: behind the vision of Es Devlin
Inspired by artisans and the islands of Venice, Es Devlin , the Artistic Director of Homo Faber 2026, creates 15 immersive installations at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, uniting craft artists from across the globe. With An Island of Light, her vision gives voice to the makers and shines a light on objects and making – from shadow sculptures and kinetic structures to a moonlit reflecting pool – inviting viewers to shift their perspective, understand the origins of objects and to value the language of the hand.

The exhibition runs until 11 July 2026, Tuesday—Sarurday 11-18:00 and by appointment

To mark the 10th anniversary of Spazio Nobile, the exhibition "Crush" affirms a vision of “Gestalt” in which art exists within a space of dialogue between disciplines, in the interaction between artists, and above all between the artwork and the viewer. Philo-
sopher and visual artist Benoît Maire, together with her scenographer alter ego Marie Corbin, engages in an open conversation with the public. "Crush" raises the question of attachment and humanity’s place in relation to the artwork. What is the status of the work of art? Benoît Maire’s painting, drawing on concepts from
existential philosophy are combined with the tangible, more functional objects created by Marie Corbin. Photo

Liu Chien-Kuang born 1988 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As a glass designer and maker, he has been greatly influenced by many different cultures and glass-making techniques today. Since he graduated from the National Taiwan University of Education Art and Design, he had been to Japan, Denmark, Sweden, and China, to cooperate with talented glass artists and studios. His goal is to explore a new phase of glass-making, by combining old techniques with new knowledge. Also, he challenges to create novel expressions of the glass itself. Liu Chien-Kuang decided to become an independent Artist during studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Bornholm design school. During his time of study in Denmark, he was interested in traditional glass-making knowledge and use them with his own cultural experience in his sculpture. Liu Chien-Kuang also did his practice in master’s program at Konstfack, Stockholm. He strengthens his work with material culture and post-colonial theory and tries to question the position of the museum, audience, and artists in the Morden society. He wins the Swedish Freemasonry art and culture scholarship after graduating from Konstfack. Currently, he is based in Gustavsberg, Sweden continuing his practice and experiencing Swedish culture. He likes to study historical museum glass collections to learn the forgotten technique and untold stories and reinvent his story through his material universe. He has been represented by Spazio Nobile since 2022 and the gallery will host his first solo show at the end of 2026-early 2027.

With Mercure, Franco-Vietnamese artist Quentin Vuong draws upon mythology, the history of decorative techniques, and the symbolic world of mirrors. This new collection extends an earlier series of mirrors presented by Spazio Nobile in 2020, exploring the same refined aesthetic code conceived
exclusively for the gallery and shaped from noble materials. Installed in the Studiolo in a salon-style hanging, these mirrors take on the aura of personal “psychés,” combining precious elements such as white
gold leaf and palladium. Several of these unique pieces are delicately carved by hand, manifesting a subtle tension between density and transparency, reflection and light. In Roman mythology, Mercury was the messenger of the gods: the master of exchange, movement, commerce, and illusion. This principle flows through Vuong’s collection: the mirror becomes an impermanent surface, suspended between opacity and clarity, presence and absence. What appears at
first as a functional object gradually shifts toward the realm of ritual sculpture. Thus, Mercure is not merely a collection but an invitation to consider the object as a mediator between realms, between humanity and its environment, between the intimate and the cosmic.
It calls forth the god, the element, and the symbol in a world where the object is never entirely fixed but always ready to transform reality.
