MetX Movingmusic MetX is a production house made by and for music makers. Sometimes loud, sometimes soft, sometimes beautiful, sometimes ugly. Never smooth. Always exciting.

Together with artists from across the world, we create original repertoires, unique ensembles and moments of collective celebration. Our (mostly acoustic) sound universe integrates elements from both the Western jazz and improvisation culture, as from traditional music sustained by the different cultures you can find in a metropole like Brussels. Once merged with mutual respect by our musicians, this artistic material can evolve into a completely new musical culture.

Join us this Saturday at Brigittines Summer Festival for a free performance by underground DIY percussion band BRUiTAL in collaboration with Karrakallas, a collective of dancers led by Ilaria Orlandini and Alessia Luna Wyss. Een nieuwe trip naar Hongarije deze zomer in het kader van Erasmus+ 🤩

In April this year, a number of teenage girls from Fanfakids travelled to Balatonboglar to share their repertoire and teaching methods with young people from Babelcamp and Camin Cultural. From 26 July to 2 August, some of them will return to Hungary with members of Tarmacadam. Together, they will continue to work on developing new percussion ensembles with the teenagers from Babelcamp and Farside (Greece).

In april van dit jaar trokken een aantal tienermeisjes van de Fanfakids naar Balatonboglar om er hun repertoire en methodieken te delen met jongeren van Babelcamp en Camin Cultural. Van 26 juli tot 2 augustus reizen enkele van hen opnieuw naar ginder, deze keer met leden van Tarmacadam. Samen zullen ze er verder werken aan de uitbouw van nieuwe percussie ensembles met de jongeren van Babelcamp uit Hongarije en Farside uit Griekenland.

En voor de thuisblijvers: de Fanfakids zelf kan je ondertussen aan het werk zien op Quartiers d'O op 24-25 juli in Oostende 🥳🥁🎺🎶
