Every year in April, Art Brussels opens its doors and welcomes 25 000 professionals, collectors and art lovers from all over the world. Art Brussels is the European platform for upcoming talents in the field of contemporary art and focuses as well on strong established galleries representing a selection of their highest-quality paintings, sculptures, photography, video and installations. Posts on

We are pleased to announce that Art Antwerp & Art Brussels have successfully qualified as Active Members for 2025-26 with Gallery Climate Coalition - GCC 💚

To achieve Active status we had to demonstrate that our organisation had implemented environmentally responsible best practice in line with GCC guidance. Active Membership is not a certification of sustainability nor a claim that we are doing things perfectly. We’re all doing our best to assess, report and reduce our impact, setting targets in line with science, taking any actions we can and working out other solutions as we go.

KickCancer Foundation breaks records at Art Brussels 💛

During this year’s edition of Art Brussels, The KickCancer Collection raised more than €100,000 in support of children with cancer through a charity sale of anonymously presented artworks curated by Albert Baronian.

With 251 artworks sold at €400 each, this fourth edition reached a new record, surpassing last year’s result and once again demonstrating the incredible generosity of the contemporary art community.

All proceeds from The KickCancer Collection will support KickCancer’s mission to fund innovative research into better treatments for children with cancer.

From concept to completion 🎬 Step behind the scenes of the Art Brussels 2026 entrance commission ✨

For this edition, Belgian artist Natasja Mabesoone reimagined the fair’s threshold with “Cher mouths Mary, Mary mouths Cher”, a site-specific installation that transformed Art Brussels entrance into a striking, immersive passage.

In this video, Art Brussels Managing Director Nele Verhaeren reflects on the importance of inviting an artist to shape visitors’ first impressions of the fair and explains the choice of Mabesoone. The artist, in turn, offers insights into how the project was brought to life and how visitors responded to the the work once it was unveiled.

Two weeks ago, Art Brussels 2026 opened its doors, bringing together 139 participating galleries for an unforgettable edition that closed on 26 April.

As we look back through our official aftermovie, we would like to warmly thank all the galleries, partners and media partners whose continued support made this edition possible and contributed to the success and international reach of the fair.

🏆 Discovery Acquisition Prize 2026 — Winners Announced

This award reaffirms the fair’s commitment to supporting emerging artists while enriching public collections. For the second time, the prize takes the form of an acquisition budget of up to €10,000 dedicated to purchasing artworks for a museum collection.

This year, the jury selected works to enter the collection of the Musée d'Ixelles - Museum van Elsene. The jury is pleased to announce the acquisition of works by Kasper De Vos (Pizza Gallery), Lena Marie Emrich (OFFICE IMPART), and Alejandra Caicedo (Tom Reichstein).

The works will be unveiled at the museum’s reopening in March 2027.

The Discovery Acquisition Prize is generously supported by Moleskine.

Each year, Art Brussels awards prizes to galleries and artists in recognition of their commitment and the quality of their presentations 💛

This year, three prizes were awarded by three different juries composed of art professionals. Discover here the winner of the Solo Prize: Settantotto(Ghent), with a solo presentation by herman de vries.
