We had a great Reading Room yesterday at Jolimont Castle, thanks to the care and skills of Clémentine Vaultier. Discussing collective and news ways of preserving heritage made a lot of sense at this beautiful location that is protected as a monument (after having been left in a poorly maintained state by its previous owner) but has also been a site of artistic practices and communities for a long time.

Katya Ev featured in Hart Magazine, including her show with Marc Buchy at New Space (Liège). Especially noteworthy is a powerful statement by the Russian-born, Ukraine-concerned artist on the raging war.

Jubilee associate artist Katya Ev is part of Caveat and Emptor collective research projects. The contract used in ‘Ne rien faire contre rémunération’, discussed in the article, was developed with Jubilee’s legal researcher.

ONE MORE PUSH!
The world is still in disarray, and new emergencies are appearing. State of the Arts' goal of helping people in urgent need is proving ever more difficult because they still have a waiting list of receivers from the past waves of the crisis.
Since SOS Relief started in April 2020, €230,000 has changed hands. A total of 874 people have given to 783 people in need. However, 88 people are still waiting for a combined total of approximately €30,000.
Please consider making a private or institutional donation.

ONE MORE PUSH!

Lieve allemaal,

1. Als 600 mensen elk 50 euro geven, halen we ons doel.

2. Als 300 mensen elk 100 euro geven, halen we ons doel.

3. Als 150 mensen elk 200 euro geven, halen we ons doel.

▻ "Water Warriors" (Michael Premo, 2017, 22 mins) about land justice movement in Canada (ENG)

▻ "The Last Movie" (Dennis Hopper, 1971, 108 mins) Kansas (Hopper) is a stunt coordinator in this arthouse fiction cult classic. He is in charge of horses on a western being shot in a small Peruvian village. He thinks he has found paradise, but is soon called in to help in a bizarre incident: the Peruvian natives are "filming" their own movie with "cameras" made of sticks, and acting out real western movie violence, as they don't understand movie fakery. (ENG)

► GHENT: HOW TO LIVE TOGETHER

This event is part of GHENT: HOW TO LIVE TOGETHER (A Season of Truth and Reconciliation), a project by artist in the framework of Kunsthal Gent's Development Programme.
