At 97, we say goodbye to one of the most visionary and recognizable artists of our time.
For nearly a century, Yayoi Kusama transformed obsessions, hallucinations, and intuitions into a unique artistic universe: polka dots, pumpkins, and Infinity Mirror Rooms became a language capable of transcending boundaries, generations, and cultures.
She moved through the avant-garde without ever truly belonging to a single movement, anticipating the languages and sensibilities that would go on to shape contemporary art. She also brought art beyond its traditional boundaries, transforming it into an experience shared by millions of people.
For Deodato Arte, Kusama has always been an artist we deeply admired and cherished. Over the years, we have dedicated exhibitions and projects to her work, welcomed with great enthusiasm by collectors and the public alike.
Today, we celebrate her life, her vision, and a legacy that will continue to multiply, just like her dots.
