The Sudden Knot

The Sudden Knot is an improvisation duo in Brussels (Belgium) made up of Desislava Krsteva and Johan Somers. Our aim is to promote the art of improvisational theatre, with a focus on dramatic longform narrative stories, which are made and created spontaneously without script, based on a suggestion from the audience. What we like to do:

• perform improv shows as a duo, both online and offline on s

tage. Online shows are free to watch, by anyone from anywhere.
• use our (online) platform as a means for other improvisors to perform shows together with us. With our format , we already performed over 100 times online on Facebook. We facilitate these shows using our technical platform with streaming facilities live to Facebook or other social media.
• use our platform to promote the work and projects (show, workshops) of others, with social media posts and online Q&A conversations, streamed live.
• share our knowledge and ideas with other improvisors, coach and rehearse with others.
• connect with others, start-up projects and perform together (“Loophole Improv”)
• learn from, and listen to others, discover and be inspired by each other.
• to continue to build a diverse and inclusive improv community.
