Immédiatement reconnu comme chef de file de la Nouvelle Ecole Romantique Brabançonne tant ses paysages soulevaient le tumulte et convoquaient l'émoi. Il s'affirma ensuite dans des figures nettement expressionnistes, ou fantomatiques, sans toutefois délaisser le paysage, invariablement explosif, puis évolua à la fin de sa vie vers un expressionnisme abstrait, toujours animé par sa passion intérieur
e. Painter, drawer and lithographer from Brussels (1933-2011). He exhibited from 1962. He was immediately recognized as the leader of the New Romantic School of Brabant because his landscapes were so tumultuous and stirring. He then asserted himself in clearly expressionist or ghostly figures, without however abandoning the landscape, invariably explosive, and then evolved at the end of his life towards an abstract expressionism, always animated by his inner passion. He was a member of Artes Bruxellae from 1985 to 2004.
