Burenhinder is a FLINTA* collective consisting of 6 audio and visual artists based in Belgium.

They provide a platform for FLINTA* artists in order to address unequal gender relations in the arts and broader event sector.

Dear Burenhinder community, friends, and curious souls,
Our collective is five years old, and we want to celebrate! We’re organizing an open call to honor the community we’re so grateful to be a part of.

What are we looking for?

Existing or new visual material, stories, critical texts, poetry, or other forms of expression about the art and party community and our political climate, viewed through a FLINTA* lens.

What else?

Contributions that draw connections between Burenhinder and other parts of cultural history, personal memories of our time together during a Burenhinder event, and so on.

Many things are possible, but it’s important that the final product can be distributed in 2D format.

How?

Fill out the form. We ask that you submit a textual proposal of maximum 350 words and/or a visual proposal of maximum 2 pages, along with a short biography, by May 20. You can choose the language in which you send your entry.

We welcome submissions from everyone, but will give priority to the FLINTA* community. Based on your submission, we may contact you later to further develop a final product as part of a publication we (hopefully) will be able to hold in our hands soon. Together, we’ll archive the heart and soul of Burenhinder so that it continues to exist physically. We hope to compile all the wonderful memories we share.

On 21.03.26, instar ( ) and are joining forces and represent the collaborative party between & .three.collective that’s taking place at Brussels’ . This party is their shared vision: bringing together some of Europe’s most exciting selectors for a no-skips lineup built with pure love for the dance floor.

They’ve invited PLAZA (Matriark & DJ IBON), olesia, A Strange Wedding, and Silent Spectre (IREN & Dogsattack) for a diverse, high-impact journey through trance, techno, bass and fast rhythms - and Trillstar will open the night themselves, debuting their signature trance-techno & tekno blend under their new b2b project.

Created with passion by two independent collectives, this one’s about community, energy, and being together in a transformative space.

We proudly look back at the first presentation of the video installation ‘Notes on No-Camera Policy: Untitled Project 3’ at

Notes on No-Camera Policy: Untitled Project 3 is part of an ongoing project. For this research, collects information via audiovisual media and simultaneously builds an archive for Burenhinder. The collective has a no-camera policy, so at first glance, making images seems contradictory. But can the medium also be used in a non-dominant way to document events? Photos and videos of Burenhinder events are accompanied by testimonials from members of the collective and the community.

The installation is a simulation of a safer heaven, as always present at Burenhinder events, with pillows designed by . The space offers the opportunity to breathe for a moment in the often overstimulating culture of nightlife.

Post Human V/A for Palestine OUT NOW

Three years after Burenhinder’s first V/A project, a bouncy euphoric burst of songs, dedicated to the scene that empowered the project since the very beginning, they return with a new one. Let’s take it one step further: the POSTHUMAN V/A, its name taken from Burenhinder’s own LOLALITA and her party during the resident’s curated series. This music compilation questions a sound that elevates the human experience, denies or destroys it. Industrial, yet dreamlike. Noise-fuelled and screaming into the void. Despite all powered by hope. Genre was an all-too-human concept anyways! Burenhinder invites their close flinta family and friends as well alongside their own residents to produce their take on posthumanism. We are so proud to present this collection of songs, we hope you enjoy the journey and can’t wait to hear what you think. The entire tracklist will be presented at Burenhinder x Send In The Clown’s BOO!renhinder Haloween celebration in Traum club, Antwerp. The V/A is now available on most audio platforms and physical casettes will be available in extremely limited quantity.
