Europe's answer to sketch comedy & late night. Live shows locally in Brussels!

The Schuman Show is Europe’s answer to US late night shows and Saturday Night Live. Our show was born out of the wish to reform the storytelling about the European Union and to ensure that people know what’s going on in Brussels, the heart of European power, by making it funny and accessible. While European countries might have their own televised satire at the national level, we do not have an EU

comedy news equivalent - and this is the gap we are trying to fill! The cast is made up of journalists, improvisers, actors, consultants, and former EU officials who believe that comedy is the key to bringing the EU closer to the people – and to hold it to account. Next to our monthly show, we’ve also begun producing videos in which we use humour to feature investigative stories on EU affairs, entitled The Schuman Files. We believe satire covering the ins and outs of the most diverse political machinery in the world would go a long way to introducing European citizens to what on earth the EU is all about, especially in a time when populism is on the rise and participation in European Elections is at an all time low. By the end of 2022, we received funding from 3 journalism-based grants to help us film and put our work online, entertaining and informing more people of the goings on in the capital of the EU and why it matters. The Schuman Show’s aim is to burst (out of) the Brussels bubble – by bringing the people and the politics of the EU to life!

After five years at the helm of the Schuman Show, Friday, 1 May will be the last show for our co-founder and host Kelly Agathos. This is a city of five-year mandates after all, and despite so many memorable performances as Vonderleyen, Kelly decided to follow Juncker’s one term approach ; )

Thankfully, this is not an adieu, but an au revoir. Or rather, an À tantôt. We know that Kelly will be a regular member of the audience at the Schuman Show (we might even give her a complimentary ticket…) and we have a sneaking suspicion a few cameo appearances are on the cards as well!

The entire team want to extend our deepest thanks to Kelly for these years of tireless work, unswerving dedication and endless creativity, without which the Schuman Show would quite simply not exist.

We’re looking forward to working together in exciting new ways in the future Kelly - and don’t worry, your baby is in safe hands 💙

We are back for our last show of the season! Come join us as the Lumen on Tuesday 28 April, Wednesday 29 April and Friday 1 May. We still have some discounted Early Bird tickets available for Friday 1 May - grab them before they sell out!

PS No Thursday? We have reached a temporary ceasefire with Plux, and have skipped Thursday once again this time. But the war is not over, so we aren't making any promises for Thursdays after the summer break...

PPS Noticed a price increase in tickets? We had to introduce it to cover across-the-board increasing costs. In fact, we had already raised prices in early 2025, then accidentally reverted to the previous price. So, it turns out we have unknowingly been selling reduced-price tickets for almost a year. Moral of the story? Don’ t hire comedians to do your accounts.
