In Loving Memory of Alan
In 2022, we had the great honor of welcoming Alan and Eliana from Hair of the Dog Brewing Company to our festival. It was a truly special moment for us, as their brewery had already achieved legendary status among beer enthusiasts around the world.
During that edition, we proudly presented them with a special award in recognition of their extraordinary contribution to the craft beer community.
It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Alan, who lost his battle with cancer. His passion, bold spirit, and unmistakable voice left a lasting mark on the world of craft beer. You barked loud, challenged conventions, and helped shape the beer scene into what it is today.
Our thoughts are with Eliana, his family, and everyone who loved him. We wish them strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.
Alan, it was an honor to have met you. Behind the legendary reputation you were one of the kindest, warmest, and most humble souls we have ever had the privilege to know. We will always be grateful for everything you gave to the beer community and for the inspiration you shared with so many.
If you happen to run into Billie up there, please give him a big hug from all of us.
Rest easy, Alan. Your legacy will live on in every great beer and in the hearts of those who knew you.
