"Momo SDO Cancels Mbengwiteghenibi Chiefdom 3 Months After Signing Order"

An order cancelling the 3rd Class Chiefdom of Mbengwiteghenibi village in Mbengwi Sub-Division has only just become public, 3 months after it was signed.

The Prefectoral Order was signed by the Senior Divisional Officer for Momo, Fouda Etaba Benoit Nicaise, on June 10, 2026. It voided an earlier December 23, 2025 order that had recognized the chiefdom.

"With effect from the date of signature of this Order... the 3rd Class Chiefdom of Mbengwiteghenibi village... is CANCELLED," the document states. "All inherent effects emanating from the cancelled Order are null and void."

The SDO said the cancellation followed instructions from the Minister of Territorial Administration dated June 5, 2026, citing "the necessity of service." The Divisional Officer for Mbengwi and security forces have been tasked with implementation.

Though signed in June, the order only began circulating publicly this September, raising questions in the community.

No specific reason for the reversal was given in the document beyond "the necessity of service."

⚽️ Nso All Tournament Final Takes an Unexpected Turn 😂

Some random pictures from the Nso All Tournament final between Nseh FC and Muslim Brothers in Bamenda.

What was supposed to be a football final somehow turned into a Shaolin movie training session 😂😂. Emotions ran high, and disagreements on the pitch spilled over into unnecessary fighting.

Let us always try to respect ourselves and protect the unity of our people, even when we disagree. Football is meant to bring us together, not divide us.

Interestingly, while the Fon of Nso was in Limbe preaching peace, reconciliation and nonviolence, some Nso youths were involved in a fight following a disagreement during the football final in Bamenda. We went too far

There is no price for peace. 🕊️

Let football remain football, and let brotherhood remain stronger than any trophy. ❤️
