To Be Antwerp started in 2016 with the mission of supporting young graduates from the and by giving them the opportunity to exhibit their work throughout Antwerp’s Theater District.
Since then, the initiative has continued to uphold this mission in close collaboration with all participating locations, creating a dynamic platform for emerging artists within the city’s creative and cultural landscape.

I am drawn to their slowness and rhythm, a pace that allows me to think with my hands. These techniques also carry a deep cultural history and a shared visual language. I seek to engage that heritage not by rejecting it, but by questioning, reinterpreting, and transforming it through my own perspective."
