From 25 September to 25 October, Maarten Inghels presents Dievencode at INBOX – M HKA in Antwerp.

Inghels was selected by the jury of Onboards Biennale 25 for this solo presentation at M HKA INBOX, as laureate of the Jury Prize.

Since 2024, Inghels has been developing his own system of signs on pavements, based on what he can discover about residents and their homes. An enigmatic visual language that makes the street readable in a different way, raising questions about privacy, fear, migration, and the ways in which we observe one another.

What if the city speaks a language you have not yet learned to read?

We are delighted to share that Onboards Biennial 25 is featured in the Autumn 2025 edition (Issue 135) of Printmaking Today, the internationally respected magazine for contemporary printmaking, published by The Cello Press Ltd.

The article reflects on 2025 edition Relationships theme and highlights Paul Coldwell’s Chains that Bind, presented as part of Onboards Biennial 25.

Through artworks on public billboards across Antwerp, the Biennial invited unexpected encounters between artists, audiences and the urban environment—transforming everyday journeys into moments of reflection.

We are honoured that the vision of Onboards has become part of this international conversation on contemporary printmaking.

Our sincere thanks to Printmaking Today for the thoughtful feature.
