Oh, what a night! On Saturday, November 3rd we hosted another festive and successful fundraising event to fight cancer.
It's been 35 years since David has passed and we continue to honor his memory with the foundation created in his name 25 years ago. Since 1993 we have hosted 15 events and raised over $200,000 for Cancer Research. As we reflect on the past, we look toward the promise of the future and thankfully look at all the progress that Cancer Research has made.
In the last 35 years the survival rate of cancer has increased significantly. Key factors like early detection and the advancement of treatments and therapies continue to give hope and promise to families.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the David Russo Cancer Foundation , we want to thank the 225 guests ages 21-95 who helped us celebrate the life of David and continue the fight against cancer.
The event's proceeds went to support Stamford Health's Bennett Cancer Center and Camp Takumta - a camp for kids fighting cancer. We also want to thank our media Sponsor, Stamford Magazine.
