De selectie is rond. 🥚✨
Na wekenlang dossiers lezen, discussiëren en knopen doorhakken, staat de basis voor BROED 2027 stevig in de steigers. En we kunnen je alvast vertellen: we pakken het dit jaar breder aan dan ooit.
Wat staat er in februari op het programma?
💥 5 eigenzinnige podiumacts (rauw, onaf en klaar om te testen)
🎨 1 verrassende expositie
🖋️ 8 nieuwe literaire talenten (die zich momenteel in een gloednieuw schrijfproject storten...)
Meer disciplines. Meer makers. Meer ruimte om te broeden.
Vanaf eind deze maand stellen we alle makers één voor één aan je voor en lichten we het eerste tipje van de sluier op over onze literaire plannen. Tot die tijd... let them cook. 😉

After weeks of reviewing applications, discussing them, and making decisions, the foundation for BROED 2027 is firmly in place. And we can already tell you: this year, we’re taking a broader approach than ever before.
What’s on the program for February?
💥 5 unique stage acts (raw, unpolished, and ready to be put to the test)
🎨 1 surprising exhibition
🖋️ 8 new literary talents (who are currently diving into a brand-new writing project...)
More disciplines. More creators. More space to let ideas take shape.
From the end of this month, we’ll be introducing all the creators to you one by one and giving you a sneak peek at our literary plans. Until then… let them cook. 😉

EUHM. ALARM. De open call sluit bijna. Nog maar drie nachten slapen en je kans om je ei te leggen is voorbij.
Op 1 augustus om 23u59 draaien we de broedkast dicht. Geen paniek, wel actie!
Wat we nodig hebben om jouw broedsel te beoordelen:
• Je artistieke CV.
• Je projectvoorstel (kort en krachtig, toch?).
• Een ruwe technische fiche (niet te moeilijk doen, een schets is genoeg!).
• En vooral: héél veel goesting.
Dus, laat die details even los, maar laat vooral van je horen.

On August 1st at 11:59 PM, we're closing the incubator. No panic, but action!
What we need to assess your brood:
• Your artistic CV.
• Your project proposal (short and punchy, right?).
• A rough technical sheet (don't overthink it, a sketch is enough!).
• And most importantly: loads of 'goesting' (desire/lust for it).
So, let go of the details for a moment, but make sure we hear from you.

BROED. Wat is dat, precies?
Het is de warmte van een nest, waar jonge makers hun broedsels voorzichtig koesteren. Een fuik waar de meest prikkelende ideeën samenkomen, een picklepot vol onverwachte smaken. ✨ Het is een plek waar artiesten en publiek samenkomen, hongerig naar datgene dat nog geen naam heeft, dat nog moet vliegen.

BROED is een festival. Door nieuwe makers, voor nieuwe makers.
En jij? Jij hoort hier ook thuis.
Zit er een idee in jou te borrelen dat de wereld moet zien? Een ei dat ligt te wachten om uit te komen?
Dan is dit je kans. Dien je projectvoorstel in voor onze open call, uiterlijk 1 januari.

De tijd is een pijl die keihard door de lucht snijdt.
Maandenlang hebben onze artiesten zich voorbereid op dit tweedaagse festival in Berchem. En in enkele uren is dat weer voorbij. 🥲

Dit jaar zijn we extra trots op iedereen die betrokken was en die BROED naar een nieuw niveau heeft getild. Extra dank aan Jesse en technieker Bart van .be, en aan onze sterren, de spelers van dinsdag: , , en . 🫶

BROED gaat nu in lente-, zomer- en herfstslaap. Volgende winter mogen jullie je borst weer natmaken!
