We brought the VROOM community library to Bords Perdus! Ice Screen Serigraphie

The VROOM Library is a community library featuring books, zines, comics, prints, and other printed matter around the topic of contemporary drawing and experimental comic art. The library features both emerging and established artists and collectives based in Belgium and beyond. Since its opening in 2025, the library provides a glimpse of the makers of our growing community.

The donation-based library is open to view during our public events, and is used as a quiet reading space that is in constant flux. We let the audience reorganise the shelves, and ask our collaborating artists to make their personal selections. The library is archived on our website and is constantly growing.

The library opened its doors with a theatrical performance presenting the books to the public one at a time. The launch included an inauguration of lamps by Erro Rasker, pillows by Freddy Kakkerlak, a pancake book, the VROOM Library T-shirt, and an alphabet riso print made of letters found in books from the library.

Car-Less Super City
20/09
11:00-14:00

What if everyday was a car-free day? How would you go to school? Would you hop on one leg to your friend’s house? Or fly to work? Maybe climb buildings or parachute off the roofs to go to the market? Invent a new vehicle?

Would the ice cream seller come in a hot air balloon? How would the roads look? Would there still be roads? Maybe we would swim in the canals, hang from trees? How would the buildings look? The possibilities are endless!

This time, we want to hear what the children think. (But grown-ups are welcome to participate as well.)

Let’s imagine a Car-Less Super City by drawing comics together.

Welcome to the “OSP Plotter Party (or something along those lines)” organised by Open Source Publishing from 17:00 to 20:00 on the 11th of September!

OSP recently organised a series of workshops in the frame of a research called the “Plotterstation”. The “OSP Plotterparty (or something along those lines)” will be a moment to discover the recipes and experiments we tested during the workshops and to meet with pen plotter lovers. Come experiment with the plotter, meet us around a drink, you might even leave with your own love letters, ‘hand’ plotted shapes, character-building card and tax sheet covers with cute drawings.

The event is part of RendezVous and Art Anderlecht.

Lotte Vansantvoet and Pieter Chanterie, together known as Bunny Superstar, present ‘Olive Yellow’.
12-13 June

Olive Yellow is a book, created from a visual correspondence that took place over a period of eight months between Brussels and Florence. Working from different cities, Lotte and Pieter kept each other informed of daily events and artistic developments through a series of visual narratives. Each image was created in response to the previous one, following a set of self-imposed formal rules.

Back together in Brussels, this correspondence is brought together in Bunny Superstars’ first book ‘Olive Yellow’. The book is accompanied with a text by Romy Day Winkel and graphic design by Laura Martens .martens1.

Olive Yellow will be launched in VROOM on the 12th and 13th of June. The book will be on view and available to purchase here, surrounded by the original works in a small exhibition.

The 12th of June: 17h - 22h
The 13th of June: 13h - 18h

Hope to see you there 🐇
