This little man was taking his nap, nicely cuddled against his mom.
When I saw this photo of my grandson, I immediately pictured it embroidered in my mind! My purpose for this piece was to capture the texture of the different materials he was cuddled in. The flystitch is ideal to represent a knitted hat. My favorite french knot worked very well for the fleece blanket. And of course the face, short stitches are proven to be the most suitable. Can you find find out other stitches you used?

These used fleece blankets were given to me some years ago. As it is often the case, they will find a place in my ♻️ only it could take some time to have the AHA moment. At that time I see the fabric used in a project. Thoughts put in action, result: this bat shaped hoodie for a 7 year old.
