Be sure about the requirements.For high fashion these days you need to be 5'9' to 6'tall. If you are 14 to 15 years old, 5'7" above would do. Just being good-looking is not enough; you must look good in a two-dimensional photograph.

Try to contact a legitimate agency. In your area there may be many agencies claiming to give you"guaranteed jobs" and take some amount of money easy and quick right?..Wrong. Agencies that take money from you before giving jobs are usually scams. Try to send your pictures to established modeling agencies like Elite, IMG, Wilhelmina, NEXT, Marilyn and a few more.

Perseverance is your goal. Supermodels get rejected for 70% of the castings they applied for in the beginning. Learn to face criticism. Even if you've been winning beauty competitions all your life, the industry folks may say you're too fat, short, unstructured, ugly or not photogenic even if you're the prettiest thing in earth. Maybe that assignment required different type of skin, hair and structure. Don't mind because everyone has different opinions and are looking for different types of people. For instance, if you go to an audition, you're a blonde and they're looking for brunettes, you're not going to get picked.

Have a good attitude and be prepared to work hard. Just dream how wonderful It'll be afterwards. There will be times when you won't be able to sleep for even 5 hours at night. Always try to fight the feeling of defeat.

Impress people, be very sociable, contacts get you work in this brutal industry. Do not try to use unfair means or don't let any one make you do something you are not comfortable to do. If in case anything like this happens, politely refuse.

Have a back up plan. Make sure that you at least have a degree in hand. Complete school and try to apply for college.

Stay alcohol and drug free. Keep your skin clear. Eat healthy and please don't starve yourself. For being a runway model you can be any size, you just have to find the right runway. If you are short, you can model petit. If you are a little bit chubbier than you can model plus size.

Be confident. Have an outrageous personality.
