Miami Art Week is getting closer and Perseus Gallery is returning to Red Dot Miami for our eighth year with our largest presentation yet.

This December, we are taking over more than 3,000 square feet, bringing together returning artists, new discoveries, curated projects, and works arriving in Miami from across the United States and around the world.

Eight years at Red Dot have given us plenty of stories to tell. In our latest feature, we look back at our 2025 presentation and introduce some of the familiar and new faces joining Perseus Gallery for an even more ambitious 2026 edition.

Most art fairs do not sell art.😐
Or, at least, they do not sell nearly as much art as their opening-night crowds, social media coverage, and promotional materials might suggest.

So why do artists and galleries continue to spend thousands of dollars participating in them?

Because an art fair is not only a place where artworks are sold. It is also a place where galleries enter new markets, meet collectors, build relationships, study buying behavior, and create opportunities that may lead to sales months later.

But not every crowded, prestigious, or Instagram-friendly art fair is actually collector-friendly.

In my new essay, I explain why visibility does not always lead to sales, why galleries continue to participate anyway, and what artists should really look for before investing in an art fair.

✨ Throwback to an incredible week at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair 2026.
From July 9–12, Perseus Gallery was proud to present a beautifully curated booth that brought together an exceptional selection of contemporary artists, each with a distinct voice and artistic vision.

Over four inspiring days, we had the pleasure of connecting with collectors, curators, fellow galleries, and art enthusiasts from around the world. The conversations, new relationships, and enthusiasm for contemporary art made this edition truly memorable.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our booth, supported our artists, and shared this experience with us. We are especially grateful to our talented artists, whose remarkable works transformed our space into a vibrant destination for discovery and meaningful dialogue.
