This week, we kicked off the Kikkerland × Urban Outfitters × Pratt Institute Design Challenge.

15 design students in New York City are competing for a chance to have their product produced by Kikkerland, stocked on shelves at stores nationwide, and the title of 2026 design challenge winner 🏆

Led at Pratt by designer Constantin Boym, the semester-long program asks Industrial Design students to create “Playful Objects for Life Offline”, small, clever products that encourage analog creativity, interaction, and connection beyond screens.

We’re excited to see how the students interpret the brief and where their ideas lead.
