We had a lovely June Performance this past Sunday!

A big shout-out to our amazing Third Midnight dance artists, musician, and beloved friends who made the show so special and unforgettable!

We are grateful for all the support and love from our dance community. Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared this experience, and celebrated with us. Your presence and energy made the evening truly meaningful.

As the final June show of 7MPR, it was a beautiful way to come together, honor Pride Month, and celebrate creativity, connection, and artistic expression. We look forward to seeing you again at future performances! ❤️🌈🥚🌺

Dear 7MPR friends, 7MPR’s Third Midnight Performance-Happy Pride Celebration will be this Sunday, June 7th, 8-10pm🌈❤️

The 7MPR Third Midnight-Happy Pride is a celebration of the love, resilience, and power of Pride Month. This performance will be presented in two parts. Part One will feature the first half of the show, showcasing diverse, unique, themed dance works by various dance artists. Part Two will present an 2SLGBTQIA+ storytelling dance musical performed by dance company, Keeping People Connected-KPC!

We believe that supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is a shared global mission among all of us, and we look forward to celebrating together this Sunday. Please Come and Join our SLAY Sunday Dance for this beautiful and powerful month!!

Katharine Pettit is a Q***r (they/them) intersectional artist creating mental healthcare and wellness resources through movement. In 2016 Katharine founded KPC and gathered performing artists who were also activists to be a part of the creative collective. KPC - Keeping People Connected is a multidisciplinary collective of performing artists who tell stories examining social injustices and stigmatized subject matter through dance, music, and conversation. Believing in movement as our Pathway to Wellness, KPC creates groundbreaking dance musicals that center and celebrate disenfranchised people, offering opportunities to process and cope with challenging lived experiences. KPC is a diverse ensemble; composed of Performing Artists from across the 2SLGBTQIA+ and Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, Non-Binary spectrum, representing various races, nationalities, creeds, gender identities, abilities and disabilities, body shapes and sizes. KPC centers the disenfranchised in every story we tell; each piece originates from lived experiences and creates space to center and celebrate Global Majority individuals and communities.

Carmen Caceres is a dance artist originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. With DanceAction, a fiscally sponsored dance company based in NY, she has presented dance works in several renowned venues, including The Mark Morris Dance Center, The Center at West Park, and the Center for Performance Research. As a performer, she collaborated with artists such as Lisa Parra, Sarah Berges, and Elia Mrak. Carmen is pursuing an MA in Dance Education at Hunter College and has deepened her studies in dance at the former Merce Cunningham Studio. Carmen also works as a dance educator and consultant in different NYC organizations.

Natalie Long (she/they) grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and received a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of South Carolina in 2022. She has danced professionally with Susie McHugh + Dancers, Moving Body Dance Company, STEME DANCE NYC, Chutzpah Dance and more. Currently based in NYC, Natalie is dancing with Six Degrees Dance while directing her own company, ERELONG. Since its creation in 2022, ERELONG has participated in 20+ performances in NYC and beyond. Highlights include Edinburgh Fringe, Dance Bloc NYC and the unKEMpT festival. Natalie is also a co-founder of 5$Movement, an improvisational collective.

Elizabeth Karpov is a movement artist and emerging choreographer based in Winter Garden, Florida. With a B.F.A. in Dance, Elizabeth is an independent, project-based movement artist who also currently dances with D’Vorah Dance Arts and 3rd Space Dance. Elizabeth’s current curiosity as a choreographer lies in ongoing conversations, interruptions, arguments, and questioning out loud. Her choreography is concept-driven and rooted in the curiosity and nuances in perception.

Allie Linn is a NYC-based dancer, choreographer, and published poet. She was a BFA candidate in modern dance at George Mason University and has an MA in dance/movement therapy from Drexel University. Allie spent 10 years choreographing and dancing in Philadelphia before moving to New York, where she has presented work for 7MPR Second Midnights, SHIFT presented by One Day Dance, The Study Series, and Arts After Hours. Allie’s background as a dance/movement therapist informs her choreographic approach, exploring the resilience of the human condition and the ability dance has to create and cultivate meaningful connections.

Teresa Barr-Mann is a performer and choreographer that heavily draws her style and choreographic vocabulary from her Marching band/Winter color guard background. After graduating from Temple University, Cum Laude, with a BFA in Dance, Teresa became part of the company The Dolls, directed by Natalie Flynn. Teresa continues to work with them while also pursuing choreographic endeavors and expanding her dance network in the Philadelphia, PA and New York City, NY area. Her choreography, Golden, was most recently presented in NYC at the Ajkun Ballet Theatre’s A Night of Dance, performed by the Equilibrium Dance Company.

Stephanie Steme, Chicago native now based in Brooklyn, founded STEME DANCE NYC in 2022 with a mission to be globally recognized as the performing arts company to employ and empower the most freelance artists, year after year. SDNYC has performed locally and internationally, employing over 30 local freelance artists while performing in parades, outdoor flash mobs, showcases, art exhibitions, and more. Stephanie alchemizes life experiences into physical stories for artists and viewers to relate to, engage with, and enjoy.
