Official page for LAKSHYAPAR (pronounced lok khaa paar), a cultural organization dedicated to the expansion of practice of Indian Classical Music. It is dedicated, particularly, to the expansion of practice of Indian Classical Music. It is a non-commercial, charitable organization. It is a mission. Its philosophical basis is the belief that classical music has a profound influence on the

composition of the human mind; it has the capacity to soften the hearts, deepen the feelings and widen the views of its devotees. One may remember Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb: If there were one classical musician in every home, India-Pakistan would not have to separate!! We are motivated to walk on for a society where most of its members will be sensitive, responsible and free from all prejudice that lead to violence. A peaceful earth is our dream.

We deeply mourn the passing of our classical music maestro Pandit Amaresh Roy Chowdhury. He was awarded the Ekushe Padak in 2016.
He was presented with the lifetime achievement on the 5th Classical Music Conference of Lakshyapar. His artistry, devotion, and lifelong dedication to preserving and enriching our musical heritage will remain an inspiration for generations to come.
We pray for His eternal peace.
