On 22 August 2026, DUET Photographic Society (DUETPS) organized a photowalk at Shaplar Tek, Kalni, Gazipur, titled
" ফ্রেমের ওপারে | দি আফটার মিড ফটোওয়াক "
Shaplar Tek (Shapla Beel), nestled near the Kalini area in Gazipur, is a tranquil wetland celebrated for its vast, unbroken blanket of blooming pink and white water lilies (shapla) that cover the open water during the late monsoon and autumn seasons. Its beauty peaks in the early morning hours as the first light reflects off the misty waters, creating a serene, mirror-like canvas where visitors can glide in traditional wooden boats through narrow floral channels while taking in the peaceful surroundings and native waterbirds before the blooms close under the morning sun.
