I have always been amazed by the aesthetics of 'Command and Conquer : Red Alert 2'. I love how they stylized the cold war era. Among all, this poster is my special favourite.
Imagine being a New Yorker, waking up in the morning to see this. Peak American Horror!
The gas balloons (Known as Kriovs in game) are the ultimate psychological weapon here. Floating on top of Statue of Liberty with creepy smirks painted on them. It looks like they are not just invading USA, they are enjoying its destrcution. The ultimate mockery of American Superiority. This poster reflects how the Americans saw the Soviets as the alien level threats. The aesthetics of the game makes it look like the world has gone mad.
[Fun fact: Despite the message this poster tried to give, the position of the statue of liberty makes it look like the Kirovs are coming from the mainland instead of the sea.
