Mountains, beaches, resorts, and crowded cities are not cures. They are mirrors. We convince ourselves that we need to escape - a new country, a new skyline, a new horizon - but nothing truly changes until we are willing to change ourselves. So the journey began, not out of wanderlust, but out of love.
I am, by nature, a man of routine. Silence. Discipline. Repetition. I could have lived my whole life that way and been content. Then a bird came into my life - a free bird, always searching, always chasing the wind of something new. At some point, I realized something painful: maybe I was the cage. My ego wanted to keep it close, but love demanded something different.
So instead of holding it back, I tried to grow wings. Wings that could carry us anywhere. I dreamed of seeing the world together, of watching life unfold through curious eyes. But fear blinded me to the cage I was becoming, and eventually, I had to let the bird go. Sometimes love teaches us that effort alone cannot make two paths become one.
So here I am now - living the dream we once shared. Moving from place to place, meeting strangers, sharing meals, learning traditions older than myself, and leaving small pieces of home wherever I go. There are moments when I stand alone under foreign skies, looking at the stars, feeling both endless and empty at the same time.
The sky taught me that a man can be full and broken at once. That peace does not erase longing - it simply teaches you how to live with it.
Since then, I have been chasing balance - not across countries, but within myself. Strength and softness. Stillness and movement. Discipline and freedom.
I belong nowhere. And yet, everywhere feels familiar.
