Shake Tanvir Ahmed the Founder and Chief Secretary of Blackflame theatre received international award as an ‘Ingenious Actor’ in United States

Shake Tanvir Ahmed has won the 'George K Campbell Award-2023'. He received that international recognition as an ‘Ingenious Actor’ in the arts and culture category of George K. Campbell Scholarship program for contributing to the world stage for more than 15 years. Like every year, ‘'Give Me A Second Chance '' is the regular event of the 'Annual George K. Campbell Scholarship Friends for Life Committee' was held in the ballroom of the Glen Terrace Caterers in Brooklyn, New York, USA on the last 14th of October 2023, Saturday afternoon. And in the presence of the invited guests, representatives of New York local government, community leaders and the media, Ms. Jennifer Viechweg Horsford the representative of New York State Senator Roxanne J. Persaud, Friends For Life Committee officials of George K. Campbell Scholarship Ms Yhane Williams and Yma Orne Campbell handed over the prestigious award to Shake Tanvir Ahmed with honorary Citation from the New York State Senate office, New York Assembly office and New York City Council office. Before that, Tanv Shake got an overwhelming appreciation after performing the Blackflame Theatre production Skates Mime ‘The Blind Perspective’ in this event.

নিউইয়র্কে শিল্পাঙ্গন নাট্য সন্মাননা পেলেন ব্ল্যাকফ্লেইম থিয়েটার প্রধান তানভীর শেখ

আমেরিকার নন্দিত নাট্য সংগঠন সেন্টার ফর বাংলা ক্রিয়েটিভ ওয়ার্কস এর নিয়মিত আয়োজন ‘শিল্পাঙ্গন নাট্যমেলা-২০২৩’ এ নাট্য অভিনেতা হিসেবে বিশেষ সন্মাননা পেলেন অভিনেতা শেখ তানভীর আহমেদ। সারাদিন ব্যাপী এবারের আসরে গতকাল স্থানীয় সময় ২৪শে সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৩ নিউইয়র্কের লং আইল্যান্ডে অবস্থিত লেভিটটাউন হলে জমকালো থিয়েটার উৎসবে একই দিনে পরপর দুটি নাটকে অসামান্য অভিনয় দক্ষতায় এ পুরস্কার পেলেন তিনি। উৎসব সমাপনী পর্বে হল ভর্তি দর্শকের উপস্থিতিতে তাঁর হাতে এ পুরস্কার তুলে দেন বাংলাদেশের বরেণ্য নাট্য ব্যক্তিত্ব ও একুশে পদক প্রাপ্ত অভিনেতা জনাব আবুল হায়াত ও ও লুতফুল নাহার লতা।

এর আগে এ দিন বিকেলে নাট্যসংগঠন ‘কৃষ্টি’ প্রযোজিত ও জনপ্রিয় অভিনেত্রী বন্যা মির্জা নির্দেশিত কালজয়ী নাটক ‘রাজা ঈদিপাস’ এ গুরুত্বপূর্ন চরিত্রে অভিনয় এবং একইদিন সন্ধ্যায় নাট্যসংগঠন ‘শিল্পাঙ্গন’ প্রযোজিত ও নজরুল ইসলাম নির্দেশিত অনুবাদের নাটক ‘জমা খরচ ইজা’ তে বিশেষ চরিত্রে মূকাভিনয়ে অংশ নেন গুণী এ অভিনেতা ও ব্ল্যাকফ্লেইম থিয়েটার প্রধান তানভীর শেখ।বর্তমানে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের স্বনামধন্য ট্রাইন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অধ্যয়নরত এ শিল্পী থিয়েটার অঙ্গনে কাজ করে চলেছেন ১৫ বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে এবং দেশ বিদেশের উল্লেখযোগ্য ফেস্টিভ্যালে অংশগ্রহনের পাশাপাশি পেয়েছেন জাতীয় এ অন্তর্জাতিক পুরস্কার ও অসংখ্য সন্মাননা।

ব্ল্যাকফ্লেইম থিয়েটার প্রধান তানভীর শেখ আমেরিকায় অভিনেতা হিসেবে আর্ট এন্ড কালচারে বিশেষ অবদানে সম্মানসূচক মর্যাদাপূর্ণ “ড. ওয়াকার উদ্দিন এ্যাওয়ার্ড ২০২৩” এ ভূষিত হয়েছেন গতকাল সন্ধ্যায়। রোহিঙ্গাদের নিয়ে কাজের স্বীকৃতি স্বরুপ বিশ্বের কয়েকজন বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তি ও সংগঠনকে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়। সেখানে বিশ্বের নামিদামী ব্যক্তিত্বদের পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে অত্যন্ত জাঁকজমকপূর্ন আয়োজনের মধ্যে দিয়ে ‘বেস্ট পার্ফর্মেন্স’ এ্যাওয়ার্ড গ্রহন করেন তিনি।

রোহিঙ্গা পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে কাজ করা বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় ২টি সংস্থা আরাকান রোহিঙ্গা ইউনিয়ন ও বার্মিজ রোহিঙ্গা এসোসিয়েশন অব নর্থ আমেরিকা এর আয়োজনে রোহিঙ্গাদের নিজ দেশ মিয়ানমারে ফেরাতে জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ অধিবেশন চলাকালীন এই সময়ে নিউইয়র্কে অনুষ্ঠিত ৩দিন ব্যাপী আয়োজনের শেষ দিন আরম্বরপূর্ণ অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে ওজন পার্ক এলাকার একটি কনভেনশন হলে (৭৪০২ লিবার্টি এভিনিউ) গত ১৯ই সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৩ সন্ধ্যা ৭টায় আমন্ত্রিত অতিথী ও গনমাধ্যমের উপস্থিতিতে তার হাতে সম্মাননা স্মারক ও মানপত্র তুলে দেন আরাকান রোহিঙ্গা ইউনিয়ন এর মহাপরিচালক জনাব রিয়াজ উদ্দিন ও বার্মিজ রোহিঙ্গা এসোসিয়েশন অব নর্থ আমেরিকা এর ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান জনাব মোঃ আসাহাব দীন।

Blackflame Theatre Cheif Mr. Tanvir Shake received the prestigious “Dr. Wakar Uddin Award 2023” yesterday evening. In recognition of their work with the Rohingya, some distinguished individuals and organizations from around the world were awarded.

Arakan Rohingya Union and Burmese Rohingya Association of North America, the world's two largest organizations working on the Rohingya situation, organized the last day of the 3-day event held in New York during the United Nations General Session to return the Rohingyas to their homeland Myanmar, at a convention hall in Ozone Park area (7402 Liberty Avenue) on September 19, 2023 at 7 pm, Mr. Riaz Uddin, Director General of Arakan Rohingya Union and Mr. Md. Asahab Din, Vice Chairman of Burmese Rohingya Association of North America, presented the certificate of honor to him in the presence of invited guests and the media.

We glad to share with you that Tanvir Shake the Founder and Chief Secretary of Blackflame Theatre performed a solo production as the first Bangladeshi in the lights of Times Square, New York, United States the world capital today !

There he presents the Blackflame Theatre production a movement-based pantomime piece titled The Dark History is about Myanmar's brutality on the Rohingyas and the return of millions of Rohingyas who have taken refuge in Bangladesh organised by Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) and Burmese Rohingya Association of North America (BRANA) at Times Square, New York, United States on September 18th, 2023 at 7:00pm in evening.
