We are deeply saddened and shocked by the brutal killing of Simon Islam Siam, a first-year student of the Business Studies (A) section of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College, at the hands of miscreants. His untimely and tragic death has left us in profound grief. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of his soul.

Today we stand on sacred ground built by the blood, courage, and unimaginable sacrifices of our martyrs. This day is not just a celebration of victory, but a solemn reminder of the price paid for our freedom. In 1971, ordinary people became extraordinary heroes, choosing dignity over fear and independence over oppression. Their sacrifice gifted us our red and green flag, our language, our identity, and our right to live with pride. As the Victory Day sun rises, we bow our heads in eternal respect to the brave souls who never returned, and we honor the freedom fighters whose courage shaped the destiny of a nation. May we always uphold the values of unity, justice, and humanity, and strive to build a Bangladesh worthy of their dreams.
