How Should I Start My Business on Daraz? 🇧🇩📦
Starting an online business looks easy from the outside—find a product, import it, list it on Daraz, and start selling.
But I’m learning that there’s a lot more to it.
So, if I’m starting my Daraz journey from zero, this is the process I want to follow:
1️⃣ Choose the right product
I don’t want to import something just because the China price is cheap. I need to understand the product, its demand, competition, and whether people in Bangladesh actually want it.
2️⃣ Calculate the REAL cost 💰
Before ordering, I need to calculate:
Product Cost + Shipping + Customs/Duty + Local Delivery + Marketing + Payment/COD Charges = Total Cost
Only after knowing the real cost can I decide whether the product is profitable.
3️⃣ Start small 📦
Instead of investing a lot of money in the beginning, I want to test a small quantity first.
Sell → Collect feedback → Learn → Improve → Reorder.
4️⃣ Create a proper Daraz listing 🛒
Good product photos, clear titles, accurate descriptions, useful specifications, and competitive pricing are important.
I want customers to understand exactly what they are buying.
5️⃣ Focus on customer experience ⭐
Fast responses, proper packaging, accurate product information and good after-sales support can help build trust and reviews.
6️⃣ Track every sale 📊
I want to record the selling price, Daraz fees, delivery-related costs, product cost and other expenses so I know my actual profit, not just the difference between buying and selling price.
This is my approach to starting on Daraz.
I’m not trying to become a big business overnight.
I’m trying to start small, calculate properly, learn from every order, and grow step by step.
