Ayub Bachchu, the lead singer of the popular rock band LRB, sang a popular song, which is still heard in the mouths of the listeners, attracted by the well-known and popular Baily Road. Baily Road was named "Baily Road" in honor of Sir Stuart Colvin Bailey, Lieutenant Governor of Bengal on Baily Road from 189 to 182. However, on 28 August 2005, the then Mayor of Dhaka, Sadek Hossain Khoka, in recognition of the importance of the drama community on Bailey Road, changed the name of the street to "Natya Sarni" or "Theater Road".
