CinemaScope ULAB Film Apprenticeship Programme, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Dhaka, Bangladesh

The ULAB Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) department carries out an co-curricular programme for the ones who are much enthusiastic about the creation and aesthetics of film production. The programme is called the Film Apprenticeship Programme, and is boldly known as “CinemaScope”. However, this is basically a platform for those who want to practice advanced elements of film production, other than just shooting and bringing out a final product. With the aim of watching, reading, analysing, and making films, a group of students enroll into ULAB Film Apprenticeship Programme - CinemaScope. The program is monitored by the Department of Media Studies and Journalism. CinemaScope arrange regular events like Film Reading, Master Class, Workshops, Meet the Director etc. Besides, CinemaScope mouthpiece “Cinepedia”, a Cine-magazine, comes out once in every academic semester.

At CinemaScope, whenever we’ve needed a helping hand, guidance, or simply someone to say “I’m here,” you’ve always been that person, Naim Bhai.

Behind so many of our moments and little victories, there has quietly been you. Always helping, always supporting.

CinemaScope is truly lucky to have you. Thank you for always being someone we can count on.

With love,
Your Cinemascope Family

Cinema isn’t only something we watch. It’s something we question, interpret, argue about, create, and carry with us.
And that’s exactly what TEA & TALK: “INDIE & I” was about.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their thoughts, and made the conversation what it was.

Its story?
Its culture?
Or its ability to connect with people?

What do you think makes a film "festival-worthy"?
The story? The director? The hype? The festival circuit?
Or just whether it hits?

If you had one seat left, what would make the cut?

Let’s settle this one.Does a bigger budget = a better film?Or can a good story do all the heavy lifting?

Let’s settle this one.
Does a bigger budget = a better film?
Or can a good story do all the heavy lifting?
