বন্ধুরা,
এই সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে আমি “Connection” নামে একটি দলগত প্রদর্শনীতে অংশ নিচ্ছি, যার উদ্বোধন হবে Assiniboine Park-এর Pavilion-এর Community Gallery-তে। এটি কানাডার উইনিপেগে অবস্থিত।
এটি একটি গ্রুপ একজিবিশন এখানে সব উইনিপেগের শিল্পেরা অংশগ্রহণ করেছে । আমিও একমাত্র বাংলাদেশের শিল্পী। আমরা সবাই মা এবং বহু বছর আগে MAWA-এর মাধ্যমে একে অপরের সঙ্গে পরিচিত হয়েছিলাম—তখন আমাদের সন্তানরা ছোট ছিল এবং স্টুডিওতে কাজ করার সময়ও ছিল খুব সীমিত। কিছুদিনের জন্য আমাদের যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে গিয়েছিল। জীবন এমনই—কখনো কখনো মানুষকে দূরে সরিয়ে দেয়। কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত আমরা আবার একে অপরের কাছে ফিরে এসেছি, আর সেই পুনর্মিলনের ফলই হলো এই প্রদর্শনী।
প্রদর্শনীটি ৩০ আগস্ট থেকে ২২ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত চলবে। আমরা সবাই মিলে শনিবার, ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর, দুপুর ১টা থেকে বিকেল ৪টা পর্যন্ত উদযাপন করব। খুব শিগগিরই আরও বিস্তারিত জানাব, যার মধ্যে প্রদর্শনীতে থাকা কাজগুলোর বিষয়েও থাকবে। আপাতত শুধু তারিখটি মনে রেখো।

I wanted you to be among the first to know. This September, I'm part of a group exhibition called Connection, opening at the Community Gallery in the Pavilion at Assiniboine Park.
It's a show with multiple artists, all of us mothers who first met years ago through MAWA, when our kids were small and our studio time was limited. We lost touch for a while. Life does that. But we found our way back to each other, and this exhibition is what came of it.
The show runs August 30 through November 22, and we're celebrating together on Saturday, September 19, 1-4pm. I'll share more details soon, including the work itself, but for now, just save the date.
