Friends, to day I am going to share some tips with those who are trying to design(build) their own DIY speaker’s system. First you need to choose your driver(speaker) which will cover most of the sound spectrum we can hear like 20hz to 20khz, for a full range system you only need 1full range driver, for multi way a woofer a midrange a tweeter, for two way a mid-woofer & tweeter. Now began with you need the detail parameters of your drivers like QTS, VAS, free air resonance, frequency response, impedance curve etc. Usually, this information comes with driver you purchase, if not you will have to measure them with a measuring tool. After getting the information you can design your crossover according to your driver, you can design the crossover with the help of a crossover design simulator, which you can get on the internet. The most important thing you have to keep on your mind the impedance curve should not go bellow 2 ohms, if it does it might damage your amplifier. For frequency curve try to keep it flat as much as possible. After this you can design your speaker’s box(enclosure). For enclosure you can use speakers box calculator, which also can be found on the internet.
