নির্যাস দর্শনটুকু প্রয়োগ ক’রেই বিশ্লেষণ
করা একমাত্র পথ, গণিতশাস্ত্রীয় দর্শনের
বহির্ভূত অতিরিক্ত দর্শন সম্ভবপর নয়।
সেহেতু ঈশ্বরী, দ্যাখো গণিতের ইউনিট
পাউন্ড সেকেন্ড ফুট থেমে থাকে চুপে,
এদের নিয়মাবদ্ধ সততা ও অসততা মনস্তত্ত্বে বর্তমান ইউনিট রূপে
আলোকিত ক’রে রাখে বিশ্বের ঘটনাবলী, চিন্তনীয় বিষয়গুলিকে
সিরিজের কতিপয় টার্মের চরিত্র ফুটে চরিত্র নির্দিষ্ট করে
আগামীর দিকে।

সেই আদিকাল থেকে বাঙালির কাছে বিদেশ মানেই সাত সমুদ্র দূরের পথ। সঙ্গে আছে আরো তের নদীর ব্যবধান। মানচিত্র যাই বলুক, মুখে মুখে টানা হিসেবে সমুদ্র আর নদীর সংখ্যায় হেরফের হয় না কখনো। বাঙালিরা বিলেত আসেন কিংবা আমেরিকা অথবা হুনুলুলু- মুখে বলেন, সাত সমুদ্র তেরো নদী পার হয়ে এসেছি। নাহ! এটা এমন কোন সাত সাগর আর তেরো নদীর পাড় না, এটা মেরিন ড্রাইভ।।
