জাহাঙ্গীরনগর, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সহ বাংলাদেশের আনাচে কানাচে সকল প্রতিবাদী মানুষ, যারা ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইনের মতো মানবাধিকার বিরোধী আইনের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করছেন, মুক্ত হোক মতের প্রকাশ তাদের সকলের সাথে সংহতি জ্ঞাপন করছে। আমরা সকল দেশী ও আন্তর্জাতিক মানবাধিকার সংস্থাকে, মানবাধিকার লঙ্ঘনের বিরুদ্ধে এই ন্যায্য প্রতিবাদে নিজ নিজ ভূমিকা পালনের আহবান জানাচ্ছি

Let Expression Be Free, expresses solidarity with all protesters from Jahangirnagar, Dhaka University, and many other places in Bangladesh who are currently protesting the anti-human rights law, DSA. We implore all national and International human rights Organizations to contribute their part in this rightful protest against the violation of human rights.

আমরা জনাব শামসুজ্জামানের এই অপহরনে তীব্র নিন্দা ও উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করছি। স্বাধীন সাংবাদিকতা ও মত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতার এই লংঘন দেশীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে মানবাধিকার সংগঠনগুলোর নজরে আনতে 'মুক্ত হোক মতের প্রকাশ' কাজ করে যাবে। অবিলম্বে জনাব শামসুজ্জামানকে মুক্ত করতে রাষ্ট্রীয় পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হোক!

We condemn the abduction of Mr. Shamsuzzaman. 'Let Expression Be Free' will work with national and International human rights Organizations on this issue of gross violation of the right to free journalism and freedom of expression. We demand immediate steps be taken by the government to free Mr. Shams.

ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইনে গ্রেফতার হবার পর র‍্যাব হেফাজতে একজন নারীর মৃত্যু ঘটেছে। র‍্যাবের বরাতে বলা হচ্ছে মৃত স্ট্রোক করেছিলেন। যদিও মৃতের আত্মীয় সূত্রে জানানো হয়েছে যে গ্রেফতারের আগ পর্যন্ত উক্ত নারীর কোন গুরুতর শারিরীক সমস্যা ছিলো না। ময়নাতদন্তে মৃতের মাথায় রহস্যজনক আঘাতের চিহ্ন পাওয়া গিয়েছে। আমরা এই অনাকাঙ্খিত ঘটনার সুষ্ঠু ও স্বচ্ছ তদন্ত দাবি করছি। এই ঘটনা সেই পুরনো প্রশ্নকেই আবার সামনে নিয়ে এলো; ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইন; আসলে ঠিক কি প্রকারের নিরাপত্তা দিতে সক্ষম?

A woman died in RAB custody while being detained under the Digital Security Act. RAB stated that the deceased suffered a stroke. However, the relatives of the deceased claimed that she did not have any major physiological difficulties prior to the arrest. The autopsy revealed a mysterious head wound in the dead body. We demand a thorough and fair investigation of this unfortunate event. Such an event has brought the oft-repeated question to light again; Digital Security Act; what kind of security can it truly provide?

আদর্শ প্রকাশনী আমাদের আদর্শ!

বাংলা একাডেমীর প্রতি আদর্শ প্রকাশনীর পাঁচ শর্তঃ

১৷ অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলায় লেখক ও প্রকাশকের মতপ্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা অবারিত রাখতে হবে৷

২৷ অবিলম্বে আদর্শকে প্রাপ্যতা ও যোগ্যতা বিবেচনা করে প্যাভিলিয়ন বরাদ্দ দিতে হবে৷

৩৷ আদর্শর যে ৩টি বইয়ের ব্যাপারে বাংলা একাডেমি আপত্তি জানিয়েছে, সেগুলো মেলায় প্রদর্শন ও বিক্রির পূর্ণ নিশ্চয়তা দিতে হবে৷

৪৷ গ্রন্থমেলায় আদর্শসহ সব প্রকাশক ও লেখকদের হয়রানি বন্ধ ও নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে৷

৫৷ একুশে গ্রন্থমেলা প্রকাশকদের৷ অবিলম্বে এই গ্রন্থমেলার দায়িত্ব সব প্রকাশকের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত প্রকাশক গিল্ডের হাতে তুলে দিতে হবে৷
