অনেকেই এই সময়টার সঙ্গে পরিচিত, কিন্তু খুব কমই বলে —
যখন ভেঙে পড়ে বাজেট ..... ব্যাংক অ্যাকাউন্ট শুকনো।

মাসের শেষপ্রান্তে নেমে আসে এক নীরবতা—
ফ্রিজটা প্রায় খালি, সৃজনশীলতা দিয়ে টানতে হয় দিন,
আর পরের বেতন যেন বহু দূরের এক প্রতিশ্রুতি।
“মন্দাকালের সন্ধ্যা” হল মাসের সেই শেষ কদিনের এক সংলাপহীন প্রতিচ্ছবিঃ
মধ্যবিত্ত ঘরের সহনশীলতা, কোমলতা, আর চোখে না দেখা এক অদ্ভুত শক্তি।
