We are deeply shocked and saddened by the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in an airstrike reportedly carried out by joint U.S.–Israeli forces on Sunday. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

The attack on Iran represents an unprovoked act of aggression against a sovereign nation and risks triggering further escalation, thereby deepening instability across the Middle East region. In moments of crisis, diplomacy must prevail, and international law must be upheld without exception.
The failure of global leaders—particularly those within the region—to safeguard peace and stability will remain a shameful chapter in history.
We strongly urge all concerned parties to immediately cease military actions, exercise maximum restraint, and return to dialogue. The international community, including the United Nations, must act swiftly and decisively to preserve peace and security worldwide.
