A thrilling test of your knowledge from the golden days of Bangladeshi television!

Relive the magic of Bangladeshi cult classic dramas that defined an era and shaped our television history. From timeless storytelling to unforgettable characters, this quiz takes you back to the golden days of TV when every drama was an event, and every scene lived on in our memories. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just discovering these treasures, get ready for nostalgia, surprises, and friendly competition!
Rules & Guidelines

1. Team Composition

Each team can have up to 2 participants.

A team captain must be designated for communication with the quizmaster.

Solo participation is allowed, but you will compete individually.

2. Registration

Register by 15/08/25 – no late entries will be accepted.

Provide all team members’ names and contact details to the batch representatives during registration.

3. Quiz Format

The quiz is divided into three main rounds:

A. Selected TV Drama Trivia

Questions from the following dramas:

B. Character Identification

Identify characters from short visual clips.

C. Guess the Drama & Meme Recognition

From pictures or memes, participants must identify:

The drama shown in the picture, or

The drama from which the meme is taken.

4. Time Limit

30–60 seconds per question.

5. Scoring System

Selected TV Drama Trivia: 1 point per correct answer.

Character Identification: 2 points per correct answer.

Guess the Drama & Meme Recognition: 5 points per correct answer.

Highest total score wins.

6. Tie-Breaker

Special oral round if scores are tied.

First correct answer wins.

Only team captains may answer in the tie-breaker.

7. Answering Rules

Write all answers clearly on the answer sheet provided.

Visual round answers must be submitted at the end of the round.

8. No External Assistance

No phones, books, or other help allowed.

Cheating = instant disqualification.

9. Audience Etiquette

The audience may watch but must stay quiet.

Disruptions will lead to removal from the event.

10. Technical Glitches

In case of audio/video issues, affected questions may be replaced or skipped.

Quizmaster’s decision is final in such cases.

11. Behavior & Conduct

Respect quizmasters, organizers, and fellow participants.

Disruptive behavior will result in disqualification.

12. Final Authority

Quizmaster decisions are final and binding in all matters.

Event schedule will be shared in advance—arrive on time to avoid forfeiting your spot.

Get ready to witness creativity under pressure! Scene & Script is a thrilling, on-the-spot writing challenge where imagination meets the ticking clock. As part of Medi Carnival Season X, this AFMC Drama Club signature event dares participants to craft an original stage script from a surprise visual prompt—live, in just 15 minutes.

No second drafts. No internet. No limits—except the ones you break through. This is where spontaneity, storytelling, and stagecraft collide to create moments of pure theatrical magic.

Are you ready to write the scene that steals the show?

Rules for Scene & Script: The On-the-Spot Writing Challenge

1. Participant Eligibility:

The challenge is open to individual participants .

Each participant must register prior to the event to confirm their spot.

2. Event Format: Each participant will be shown a visual prompt on the projector. The prompt may be:

A scene from a TV drama, movie, or play.

An image of a person, setting, or situation.

A brief description of a situation or character.

Based on the visual or textual prompt, participants must write a short script within the allotted time.

3. Time Limit:

Participants will be given 15 minutes to write their script based on the provided prompt.

No extensions will be granted, and any submissions after the time limit will not be accepted.

4. Script Requirements:

The script must be written in standard script format, including character names, dialogue, and stage directions (if applicable).

Each script must have a clear narrative structure (beginning, middle, and end).

While participants are free to interpret the prompt creatively, the script should be directly inspired by or connected to the given visual prompt.

5. Theme and Genre:

The genre is open-ended and can range from comedy, drama, thriller, fantasy, or any mix the participant prefers.

Judging Criteria: Scripts will be judged based on the following criteria:

1. Creativity (30%): Originality in interpreting the visual prompt and creativity in crafting the plot.

2. Character Development (20%): How well-defined and interesting the characters are.

3. Dialogue (20%): Naturalness and effectiveness of the dialogue in conveying the story and characters.

4. Plot Structure (20%): A cohesive narrative with a clear beginning, middle, and end.

5. Adherence to Prompt (10%): How closely the script ties into and reflects the given visual prompt.

Rules for Content:

Plagiarism or copying from known sources will result in immediate disqualification.

Scripts must be appropriate for general audiences. Offensive, vulgar, or politically/religiously sensitive content will not be accepted.

Tools and Materials:

1. Participants will be provided with basic writing tools such as paper, pens, or staplers.

2. No internet access or external research is permitted during the challenge.

Disqualification:

Any participant found cheating (using external resources or help) will be disqualified.

Scripts that do not adhere to the rules or go against the spirit of the competition may also lead to disqualification.

Organizers’ Decision:

1. The organizers’ and judges’ decisions are final in all matters related to the competition.

2. Any disputes or clarifications will be resolved at the sole discretion of the event committee.

Get ready for the grand stage takeover where humor reigns supreme! Laughs Unleashed isn’t just a competition — it’s the comedy highlight of the carnival, bringing together the brightest talents to deliver unstoppable laughter.

From brilliant satire to outrageous slapstick, every performance will be a burst of creativity designed to leave you laughing long after the curtain falls.

Rules & Regulations:

1. Team Composition:

• Each team can consist of a maximum of 5 members.
• Roles can include actors, directors, writers, and stagehands (if needed).
• Teams must designate one member as the leader for communication purposes.

2. Time Limit:

• Each performance must be between 5-7 minutes long.
• Teams exceeding the time limit may face penalties, including deductions in judging points.

3. Genre Guidelines:

• The performance must be a comedy, incorporating humor that is appropriate for all audiences.
• You may blend sub-genres of comedy such as satire, slapstick, or situational humor, but the core should remain light-hearted and entertaining.

4. Originality:

• Teams must perform an original script. Plagiarized or heavily adapted works from existing plays or movies will result in disqualification.
• Teams are encouraged to come up with creative plotlines that reflect their unique style of humor.

5. Props and Costumes:

• Teams are responsible for bringing their own props and costumes. A minimalistic approach is encouraged due to time constraints for set-up and tear-down.
• No hazardous materials, fire, or sharp objects are allowed.
• Stage setup should be done within 2 minutes before the performance begins.

6. Language and Content:
• Language should be respectful and free of any offensive or inappropriate remarks.
• No vulgarity, explicit content, or jokes that could offend sensitive groups will be tolerated. Keep it light, fun, and inclusive.
• Avoid content that is politically or religiously controversial.

We were thrilled to host the Orientation Program 2025—an inspiring day filled with energy, creativity, and passion. Two of our esteemed advisors Dr. Tahmid Sabit and Captain Tahzid led a dynamic workshop on drama-making and scriptwriting, sparking enthusiasm among our newest members
We were also honored by the gracious presence of our Ex-President Dr. Zawad Mahmud Wafee and Ex-Vice President Dr. Rupkotha Noor whose continued support and encouragement added depth and meaning to the occasion.

The event concluded with the much-anticipated Panel Handover Ceremony, marking a proud transition to our newly formed executive panel.
