"Left That Path for Good"

I left that path,
The one you once walked upon.
Shattered the mirror,
In which your reflection used to appear.

I was a stranger in your town,
Found no one I could call my own.
From your moments, from my wounds,
I have now moved far away.

I never turned toward those streets,
Where your words used to echo.
I left that path,
The one you once walked upon.

I was once a traveler of your way,
My world revolved around you.
I too was once your companion,
Now I'm a wanderer standing still.

I no longer touch those flowers,
That carries the scent of you.
I turned away from those dreams,
In which even a trace of you lived.

I found nothing in this journey,
And yet remained a part of the journey.
It was a frail paper home,
That washed away in the pouring rain.

I no longer look at that moonlight,
In which your shadow might appear.
I stay away from these winds,
The ones that may have touched you.

I carried scars, not shame or guilt,
Just truths upon a life I built.
Enough of waiting, aching slow,

“Men Who Walk Their Own Path”

Some men just don't seem to care about girls,
yet it’s not as simple as it appears.
So often, they are quietly focused on themselves,
on their growth, their goals, their own unfolding lives;
not ignoring girls at all, just choosing to honor their path first.

They move with a calm sense of security,
seeking no validation from attention or relationships.
Confidence, never arrogance, carries them forward, steady and sure.
And when someone tries to force their attention, it softly slips away,
for their hearts open only to what’s real, never to the chase.

But does that mean they’ll never find love?
Of course not.
They simply need time, time to grow, to achieve, to build their world,
and then, when they finally choose their girl,
they’ll cherish her deeply, lifting her with love,
and make her feel like a princess.
