Eid Mubarak! 🌙✨

May this joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr bring happiness, peace, and endless blessings to all Rohingya Genocide survivors and the entire Muslim Ummah around the world. May Allah accept our prayers, forgive our sins, and unite us in strength and hope. Ameen.

A roofless school

Bamboo walls
Tarpaulin roof
Sunlight slips
Through torn seams.

A child holds
A pencil tight
Hope still glows
In dim light.

No blackboards
No books and pens
Dusty ground
Only Silent looks.

Teacher speaks
Soft and slow
Without confidence
In someone's land.

Refugee life
A daily fight
Fear and hunger
No end in sight.

Yet they come
Young and bold
Near the graves
In the makeshift fold.

What is freedom?
They quietly ask
Each small question
A heavy task.

Learning here
Is more than right
It’s resistance
Burning bright.

Childhood stolen
Hearts to mend
Lessons shared
By voice and friend.

Slates of chalk
Words unclear
Each sentence
Fights the fear.

The world turns blind
Walks away
They pay the price
Day by day.

No desks
No shoes
No clean page
Still they choose.

In the camps
The dream stays
Seeds of hope
Grow in haze.

Even scars
Cannot confine
The mind still soars
Beyond the line.

They say fund crisis
Some fight for jobs
But, kids suffer
For the greedy people.

Children want to study
Greedy people halt it
Humanity is money here
Money money money.

Cries from Arakan

How do we live in a land of fear,
Where every day feels full of fear?
Sleepless nights, trembling hearts,
Peace and rest torn away
This is our lives in Arakan.

No harvest left, no food to share,
No safe shelter, no future there.
Children’s hopes slowly die,
Darkness grows every day
This is our lives in Arakan.

How does a mother hold her child
While fire spreads everywhere?
No energy left, no light to see,
Nowhere to go, nowhere to escape
This is our lives in Arakan.

Seeking Peace

I am a Rohingya boy,
Born in Arakan of Myanmar
Seeking a peaceful life
In an unfair world.

I am a Rohingya boy
Whose home was torn apart
By hatred and violence
That left scars on my mind.

I am a Rohingya boy,
Forced to flee my land
Seeking safety and refuge,
On the shores of foreign land.

I am a Rohingya boy,
With dreams of love and peace
Yearning for acceptance
And blessings.

I am a Rohingya boy,
In search of a new dawn
Where hope flourishes
And fear is finally gone.

I am a Rohingya boy,
Though young, my spirit is strong
I believe in the future
Where we all can thrive.

I am a Rohingya boy,
With a voice that must be heard
I seek a peaceful life
In a just and kind world.

I Want to Fly

I want to fly,
To touch the endless sky,
To find a haven,
A place to call home.

I want to fly,
To see my homeland,
And bask in the beauty
Of its timeless shores.

I want to fly,
Where dreams take shape,
To keep hope burning
Like a flame in the fire.

I want to fly,
To trace my path,
And follow the light
That leads to freedom.

I want to fly,
To claim my space,
And write my story
On pages once blank.

I want to soar beyond the sky,
To discard my fears,
And raise my voice
Against all injustices.

Not by Choice

I never chose the road that led me here
never wanted to walk barefoot through borders
leaving behind the dreams of a land I called mine
But they painted my history in darkness
making survivor my only name.

I didn’t wish to be the forgotten voice
a stranger on the run, seeking shelter
The world turned its back and closed its doors
Now I wander between what was and what is
haunted by the home I can no longer call my own.

I believed in a future which was once bright
where my roots dug deep in familiar soil
But now, that soil is ash and I am untethered
carrying the weight of loss in my bones
I am no longer what I once envisioned.

Yet, even I stripped of all I had
I am more than the pain they forced me
The lessons are written not in defeat
but in the will to rise, again and again
I will stand, even when the ground shakes.

If I fall today, I will rise tomorrow
for tomorrow holds a promise they can’t erase
I will keep walking and keep learning
until my steps mark the day
when the sun shines in my name.
