🇵🇸It's been just over a month and a half this campaign started, with the start of 'I am Palestine' the acrylic painting....

🇵🇸It's been just over a month and a half this campaign started, with the start of 'I am Palestine' the acrylic painting. 🇵🇸

And Alhumdulillah on June 10th we were able to begin the auction for the painting with which the proceeds would go towards aid for our brother and sisters in Palestine. On June 11th the auction ended with the highest bid being Bds$2050.

After the auction being completed, there were still many people who wanted to contribute and we decided to take it to the next step by offering prints of the painting for sale. We were then able to raise Bds$2160 from donations and print sales.

Through the will of Allah, all of your duas, constant support and sharing of the campaign we were able to raise a total of Bds$4210. (Swipe for certificate)

To all those who pledged, how much ever it may have been, who shared the campaign or donated and supported in any way, may Allah reward you for all of your efforts and accept. Ameen

As i said before, this campaign wouldn't have been done as it was, if it wasn't for a community that stood together. I really appreciated this opportunity to do something ever so small and InshaAllah we get to do more things like this in the near future. "To stand with Palestine is to stand with humanity"

With your support and duas, the Painting for Palestine auction went successful, Alhumdulillah. Many people still wanted to donate after that and we're taking this to the next step by offering prints of the painting that was auctioned.

All proceeds will be donated to where they will be used to aid out brothers and sisters in Palestine.

Orders will be open for one day as time is getting by quickly, so order your prints as soon as possible. To stand with Palestine is to stand with humanity ✊🏼🇵🇸

🇵🇸"I am Palestine" which is the title of this piece is a 24" × 30" acrylic painting on canvas which captures Palestine in the most striking and minimalistic way but at the same time tells a story and shows a stand with Palestine which is a stand with humanity. This piece took 27 hours from the beginning, that is sketching and drawing till the end.

The Dome of the Rock, which occupies the central foreground of the painting, is a building of extraordinary beauty, solidity elegance and singularity of shape and is part of the Noble Sanctuary conplex along with Masjid Al-Aqsa.

A raised fist stands tall above the Dome of the Rock with a cloth wrapped around the wrist which bears the colors of the Palestinian flag.The fist is a long standing image of mixed meaning, often a symbol of political solidarity and shows a history of hope and empowerment.

The map of Palestine lays flat across the canvas in the foreground with its contents being the Keffiyeh pattern. Today it is well known that the keffiyeh is a symbol of resistance and solidarity in the Arab countries but in Palestine in particular. The fishnet pattern represents the connection between the Palestinian sailor and the Mediterranean sea whilst the bold represents the trade routes going through Palestine, a long and rich history of merchants, travel, and cultural exchange.

The dove birds on the top right of the map symbolizes love and peace.

A rustic and patchy Palestinian flag lays in the background and not only balances the painting but represents the 73 years since Palestinians have been tirelessly resisiting and fighting for whats theirs.

Painting for Palestine🇵🇸

It took 3 weeks for people to get tired of seeing and hearing the word Palestine, as a result social media got quiet.

It's been 73 years since Palestinians have been tired, as a result they are still fighting until their final breath depends on it🕊🇵🇸

Join us on Thursday June 10th 2021 at 9:00pm as we put our biggest canvas painting yet for auction. 100% from this auction will be donated to where the money will be used to provide aid for our brother and sisters in Palestine.
