AGI Grain Dryer & Alma, Missouri – Testing Status

A quick update on where things currently stand with the AGI Grain Dryer and the upcoming Alma, Missouri update.

AGI Grain Dryer

Good news — the AGI Grain Dryer has successfully moved forward and is now in the console testing phase at GIANTS.

Alma, Missouri Update

The Alma update is currently in PC testing and has now been there for three days.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly and both updates continue progressing through the testing process.

For now, everything is in GIANTS' hands. I'll keep you updated as soon as there is any change in status.

Thank you all for your patience and support! ❤️

AGI Grain Dryer – Version 1.0.0.3 Available Now!

While the AGI Grain Dryer is still going through testing at GIANTS, I decided there’s no reason for PC players to keep waiting.

The latest 1.0.0.3 version is now available for download through my Patreon page.

Changelog 1.0.0.3:

-Fixed issue with the densityMapHeightTypes XML file.
-Increased drying speed.
-Adjusted propane price and consumption for better balance and a more realistic grain drying process.
-Rebalanced dried grain prices for improved profitability.

This is a temporary PC release while we wait for GIANTS to complete testing and certification. Console players will still need to wait for the official ModHub release.

A few clicks. A forest like this — possible?

Trees, forest edges, mixed vegetation, ground foliage, rocks, fallen logs and natural clutter — generated together.

Need an open area inside the forest? No problem.

One click. Boom!

Just something I've been experimenting with lately.

Current Status of the AGI Grain Dryer

The AGI Grain Dryer is currently with GIANTS for testing. The reported issues have been addressed, and at this point I’m waiting for their testing/certification process to be completed.

I also want to sincerely apologize to everyone who experienced problems or inconvenience because of the recent update. I know how frustrating it can be when a mod you use suddenly causes issues with your game, especially when it affects an existing save or other mods.

Thank you to everyone who reported the problems, provided information and helped with testing. Your feedback made it much easier for me to identify what was happening and work toward a solution. And most importantly, thank you for your patience and understanding while we get this sorted out.

While I’m here, I’d also like to address something I receive requests for very often — adding more custom crops and crop systems to my maps.

I completely understand these requests. There are many great crops and systems available for Farming Simulator, and everyone has their own preferences when it comes to how they want to play.

However, many of the crops people ask me to add are not my creations. They are the work of other modders, and that is something I take very seriously.

People sometimes only see the finished crop in the game, but behind it can be countless hours of work — creating and adjusting textures, foliage, growth stages, animations, XML configurations, testing, fixing problems and making everything work properly in-game. In many cases, someone has spent days, weeks, or even longer developing and refining that work.

That effort deserves respect.

I will not simply take another modder’s work and put it into my map because someone asks me to. Before anything created by another modder becomes part of one of my projects, their work, their permission and the conditions under which it can be used have to be respected.

I expect people to respect the hundreds and thousands of hours I put into my maps and mods, and I believe every other creator deserves exactly the same respect from me.

There is also a practical side to this.

Adding more and more crops does not automatically make a map better. Every additional crop brings more files, textures, growth settings, compatibility considerations and potential conflicts that need to be maintained and tested with every future update.

At some point, instead of improving the map, we would simply be overloading it with features and creating unnecessary opportunities for problems.

This is especially important for crossplay maps. These maps need to work reliably not only on PC, but across supported consoles as well, where performance, memory limits, compatibility and GIANTS certification all have to be taken into consideration. Every additional system or crop adds another layer that needs to be tested, maintained and kept compatible across all platforms.

For me, smooth, stable gameplay is far more important than having the longest possible list of crops and features. Especially with a crossplay map, I would much rather give you a map that is well optimized, reliable and enjoyable to play than overload it with everything available and create unnecessary compatibility or performance problems later.

This doesn’t mean I won’t add new crops or features in the future. I absolutely will when they fit the map, when I have permission or the right to use them, and when I’m confident they can be properly supported.

More content does not automatically mean a better map. Sometimes good optimization, stability and smooth gameplay are the most important features of all.

Thank you for understanding and, as always, thank you for supporting my work.

I just couldn’t resist… 😁

I had to add traffic light intersection to Alma, Missouri too!

The new traffic lights are fully functional, animated and synchronized, including the pedestrian WALK / DON’T WALK signals.

Alma is getting a few more little details for the next update… and this one was simply too good to leave out. 😎

And with that — Alma Update is heading to GIANTS tomorrow!

When Blender Gets Tiring…

Whenever I need a little break from Blender and 3D modeling, I somehow end up working on scripts instead. 😂

One thing that has always bothered me in Farming Simulator is the way hay drying works. I never really liked the idea that the tedder basically “creates” dry hay.

In reality, the tedder helps — but sunlight, temperature, humidity, wind, rain, time, and even nighttime dew are what determine whether grass actually dries.

I’ve been working on a Dynamic Hay Drying system for FS25, where the drying process is controlled by real environmental conditions.

-Sun and warm weather help grass dry
-Wind and low humidity speed up the process
-Rain adds moisture back
-Even nighttime dew can make the swath wetter again
-Tedding helps and speeds up drying — but it doesn't magically turn grass into hay. And once hay gets wet again, it no longer magically turns back into grass either.
-Material left wet for too long can begin to deteriorate, eventually causing losses

The basic idea is simple:

The tedder helps dry the hay — the WEATHER actually dries it.

The system will most likely be expanded further as development continues — including hay bales and straw, so moisture, drying and weather effects can eventually continue beyond just loose material in the field.

Just another little experiment while I'm supposedly “taking a break” from Blender. 😂

I’ve included a few images below showing how the system works in more detail.

“Will it be on console?” 😄 — unfortunately, no. This is a heavily scripted system, so it will be PC/Mac only and will not be available on consoles.

🌾 AGI Grain Dryer – Quick Update

Hey everyone!

I'm aware of the issues some players have been experiencing with the AGI Grain Dryer after the latest update.

It appears that the recent changes may be causing conflicts with certain mods, including Swathing+, which can result in grass not being pickable from the ground after mowing.

I've already contacted GIANTS regarding the issue and I'm currently working on a fix.

Thank you to everyone who reported the problem and helped with testing! I really appreciate the feedback and patience. 🙏

I'll get the dryer back up and running properly as soon as possible! 🌾

Alright, my American friends — I need your help! 🚦

I finally managed to get fully functional traffic lights working in Farming Simulator!

Since traffic lights were already part of Iowa Plains View back in FS22, although they didn’t have the functionality they do now, I think the upcoming Iowa Plains View update for FS25 is the perfect place to introduce the new fully functional system.

Now I want to make sure the intersection setup is as realistic and accurate as possible.

I’ve attached an image of the intersection below. Based on this exact layout, could you guys show me how the traffic lights should be properly positioned?

Feel free to draw directly on the image or make a simple diagram showing where each traffic light and pedestrian signal should be positioned.

I’m especially interested in how this would be set up at a real American intersection.

Thanks for the help!

🚦 A Little Traffic Experiment

I've been doing some experimenting with the traffic system in FS25 and testing fully functional traffic lights for possible future use on Murray, Iowa.

The result turned out better than expected — fully synchronized traffic lights that actually control the AI traffic at the intersection. Cars stop at red, proceed on green, and the opposing directions work together through a complete traffic-light cycle.

The traffic lights themselves were custom modeled specifically for this project, along with the traffic signal poles and pedestrian push buttons, to give the whole intersection a more authentic North American look.

And somehow... it worked on the first try. 😂

Still just experimenting for now, but this could be a really nice little detail to bring some extra life and realism to Murray.

What do you think?
