Sarajevo Film Festival poziva sve mlade filmoljupce da postanu članovi i članice žirija TeenArena ili Dječijeg programa 32. Sarajevo Film Festivala. 🫶

Ako imate između 13 i 18 godina, prijavite se za žiri TeenArena programa. Ako imate 7 do 12 godina, možete postati dio žirija Dječijeg programa. Za prijavu je potrebno poslati kratko motivaciono pismo na [email protected]. Prijave su otvorene do 1. augusta 2026.

Članove i članice žirija očekuju besplatne projekcije, susreti s autorima i autoricama filmova te prilika da svojim glasovima odluče o najboljim filmovima.

The Sarajevo Film Festival invites all young film lovers to become members of the TeenArena or Children’s Programme Jury at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival. 🫶

If you are between 13 and 18 years old, apply to join the TeenArena Jury.

If you are between 7 and 12 years old, you can become a member of the Children’s Programme Jury. To apply, simply send a short motivation letter to [email protected].

Applications are open until 1 August 2026.

Jury members will enjoy complimentary screenings, the opportunity to meet and talk with filmmakers, and the chance to vote for the best films.

Dame i gospodo… upoznajte voditelja svečane ceremonije otvaranja 32. Sarajevo Film Festivala. 🫶

Već tradicionalno, čast da vodi ceremoniju otvaranja Sarajevo Film Festivala pripada mladoj glumačkoj zvijezdi iz Bosne i Hercegovine, a ove godine to je Kerim Čutuna. „Neopisiv je osjećaj shvatiti da ti se dešavaju stvari o kojima si nekada maštao. Sarajevo Film Festival predstavlja najvažniji kulturni događaj u državi, a voditi ceremoniju otvaranja, u gradu koji me oblikovao, pred ljudima koji me vole, za mene predstavlja jedno od najvećih profesionalnih priznanja. Kao i svake godine, potrudit ću se da što više vremena provedem gledajući filmove na otvorenom sa što više publike, al’ nebitno“, izjavio je Čutuna.

Continuing a long-standing Festival tradition, the honour of hosting the Sarajevo Film Festival Opening Ceremony goes to one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s rising acting stars. This year, that honour belongs to Kerim Čutuna.“It’s an indescribable feeling to realize that the things you once only dreamed about are actually happening. The Sarajevo Film Festival is the most important cultural event in the country, and hosting the Opening Ceremony, in the city that shaped me, in front of the people who love me, is one of the greatest professional recognitions I could receive. As every year, I’ll do my best to spend as much time as possible watching films in the open air with as many people as possible… but that’s beside the point,” said Čutuna.

„Očevina“ Paweła Pawlikowskog otvara 32. Sarajevo Film Festival! 🫶

„Očevina“, novi film Oscarom® nagrađenog reditelja Paweła Pawlikowskog, otvorit će 32. Sarajevo Film Festival. Na projekciji otvaranja Festivala 14. augusta 2026. publiku će pozdraviti reditelj, koji ovim filmom zaokružuje svoju trilogiju o Hladnom ratu.

Film je imao svjetsku premijeru na ovogodišnjem Filmskom festivalu u Cannesu, gdje je Pawlikowski osvojio nagradu za najboljeg reditelja.

Historijska drama „Očevina“ usredotočena je na odnos nobelovca Thomasa Manna (Hanns Zischler) i njegove kćerke Erike (Sandra Hüller), glumice, spisateljice i vozačice automobilskih utrka. U ljeto 1949., na vrhuncu Hladnog rata, otac i kći kreću na zahtjevno i emotivno putovanje crnim Buickom koje ih vodi kroz razorenu Njemačku, od Frankfurta pod američkom dominacijom do Weimara pod sovjetskom kontrolom. Vraćajući se kući nakon šesnaest godina egzila u SAD-u, Thomas Mann mora se suočiti ne samo s podijeljenom domovinom, nego i s dubokim rascjepom unutar vlastite porodice.

Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland to Open the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival! 🫶

*Fatherland*, the new film by Oscar® winning director Paweł Pawlikowski, will open the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival. The director will personally welcome audiences at the gala screening on August 14, 2026 with the film that rounds up his Cold War trilogy.

Fatherland had its world premiere at Cannes this year, earning Pawlikowski the Best Director award.

The film centres on the relationship between the Nobel Prize-winning writer Thomas Mann (Hanns Zischler) and his daughter Erika (Sandra Hüller) - actress, writer and rally driver. In the summer of 1949, at the height of the Cold War, father and daughter embark on a challenging and emotional road trip in a black Buick taking them across a Germany in ruins - from US dominated Frankfurt to Soviet controlled Weimar. Returning home after sixteen years of exile in the US, Thomas Mann has to face not only a divided fatherland, but also a deep fracture within his own family.

Predstavljamo novu nagradu na Sarajevo Film Festivalu! 🫶

Na 32. Sarajevo Film Festivalu prvi će put biti dodijeljena nova nagrada: Prix Cineplexx, koju Sarajevo Film Festival uspostavlja zajedno s Cineplexxom, vodećom kino-mrežom u jugoistočnoj Europi. Cilj nove nagrade je ojačati vezu između festivalskog priznanja i uspjeha filma u kinima.

Prix Cineplexx dodjeljuje se najboljem filmu iz programa Open Air Premiere po izboru festivalske publike. Vrijednost nagrade je 20.000 eura, i to 15.000 eura u uslugama za marketinšku kampanju u kinima Cineplexx za kinodistribuciju nagrađenog filma te 5000 eura u novcu i dodjeljuje se producentu nagrađenog filma.

Introducing a new Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival! 🫶

At its 32nd edition, the Sarajevo Film Festival will present a new award for the first time: the Prix Cineplexx, established in partnership with Cineplexx, the leading cinema chain in Southeast Europe. Conceived to further strengthen the link between festival recognition and a film’s theatrical life, the award underscores a shared commitment to supporting films beyond the festival circuit and into cinemas.

The Prix Cineplexx is awarded to the best film in the Open Air Premiere programme, as chosen by the Festival audience. The prize has a total value of 20,000 euros, comprising 15,000 euros in services for a marketing campaign in Cineplexx cinemas to support the winning film’s theatrical distribution, and 5,000 euros in cash, presented to the film’s producer.

CineLink Industry Days is announcing a new partnership, and it comes with a direct path to Cannes!

Next Step Studio, the international programme by Semaine de la Critique, is joining CineLink Industry Days as an industry partner where one filmmaker from the CineLink Co-Production Market will be selected to participate in the programme.

The first selected filmmaker will be announced at the CineLink Industry Days Awards Ceremony on 20 August 2026.

Zrinko Ogresta, čiji su rad i talent višestruko nagrađeni brojnim domaćim i međunarodnim priznanjima, bio je dugogodišnji prijatelj Sarajevo Film Festivala. U još uvijek ratno Sarajevo donio je svoj film kako bi bio prikazan na prvom Sarajevo Film Festivalu 1995. godine, svjestan da taj čin znači mnogo više od samog predstavljanja filma. Festivalu se potom nastavio vraćati sa svojim novim ostvarenjima, ali upravo se taj prvi dolazak, u vremenu kada je filmska solidarnost imala posebnu težinu, ne zaboravlja.

Povezanost koju je tada uspostavio sa Sarajevom i Festivalom ostaje trajna.

Zrinko Ogresta, whose work and talent earned him numerous national and international awards throughout his career, was a longtime friend of the Sarajevo Film Festival. He brought his film to war-torn Sarajevo to be screened at the very first Sarajevo Film Festival in 1995, fully aware that the gesture meant far more than simply presenting a film. He continued to return to the Festival with his new works, but it is that first visit, at a time when solidarity within the film community carried extraordinary significance, that remains unforgettable.

The bond he forged with Sarajevo and the Festival at that time endures to this day.

Predstavljamo vizual ! 🫶
 
Koncept vizuala grafičkim jezikom dočarava samu bit Festivala – njegovu narav živoga sustava, neprestano u pokretu, po definiciji neuhvatljivog, čije se puno značenje ostvaruje gotovo isključivo kroz iskustvo publike.
 
Polazeći od te ideje, vizualni jezik izgrađen je kroz igru svjetlosnih zraka koje se presijecaju, lome i pomiču unutar prostora, dočaravajući projekcije, susrete i energiju Festivala.
 
Vizual je dizajnirao Jons Vukorep.

Introducing the visual! 🫶
 
The concept captures, through a graphic language, the very essence of the festival itself – its nature as a living system, constantly in motion, elusive by definition, whose full meaning is realised almost entirely through the audience’s experience.
 
Building on this idea, the visual language is constructed through a play of light beams that intersect, refract and shift within space. They evoke projection, encounter and the energy of the festival.
 
This year’s visual was designed by Jons Vukorep.
