Dear artists, public, enthusiasts,

Station 3 would like you to meet Sonja Stojanović and Tomy Lee Kneringer, our next artists in residence (March 2 - March 13). We gladly invite you to the performance PLAY-RE-PLAY, with live music from Victor Saiz, to the workshop GEOMETRY OF CHANGE and to the WORK IN PROGRESS PRESENTATION.

PLAY-RE-PLAY – March 11, 2026 – 19.30h at Station 3 – Collegium Artisticum - free entrance

PLAY-RE-PLAY is a solo dance performance that explores the phenomenon of déjà vu and the possibility of reconstructing memory through the composition and decomposition of patterns deeply rooted in our subconscious. A minimalist and recognizable movement language reflects the processes of recalling memories. Can a memory be recreated in exactly the same way, or do we change it every time? How does our brain create the illusion that we have already experienced or seen a certain action? The performance takes the form of a choreographed interactive journey with the audience, inviting them to fully immerse themselves in an audiovisual experience.

GEOMETRY OF CHANGE

This three-day workshop invites you to join the research process of dance artists Sonja Stojanović and Tomy Lee Kneringer and explore the themes of randomness and decision-making through movement.
Together, we will experiment with playful compositional tools and group-based creative methods to generate dance material. We will question how decisions are made in the moment, how patterns emerge, and how unpredictability can become a powerful creative partner.

If you enjoy moving — regardless of your style or experience — and feel comfortable sharing your ideas within a creative process, we would love to meet you.

Part of the Station 3 program is to share artistic methodologies with our audience. How does a creation work? How does an artist construct ideas into form? What drives an artist? We like to open a constructive dialogue between artists and the public. If you are curious about artistic practices, please join!

The residency and the performance is supported by the embassy of Austria and Spain.

Some images of our latest artist in residence, Nermin Hamzagić. The work 'BURDEN' is a collaborative project with movement artist Thomas Steyaert and actor/writer Benjamin Bajramović. 'BURDEN' will be further developed in 2026 at Station 3.

This theater-research process aims to explore the physical manifestation of emotional burden. A deep sight or exhale, lowered shoulders, a vacant gaze, micro-facial gestures that suggest endlessly long inner monologues of the individual.

Dear Public,

After a very successful first round, we are happy to present once again 'O Ljubavi'

artists in residence (17/02 – 14/03 - 2025)

Presentation of the work: October 7,8 / 2025 - 19.30h!!

3 – Collegium Artisticum

Entrance: A donation box to support the performing actors of O Ljubavi will be at the entrance of Station 3.

Station 3 was very happy to host artists in residence, “You go love”, a regional group of young artists that emerged through the Helem Nejse Talent Academy. A program that was implemented for the first time in 2024 with the aim of improving the knowledge and skills of young creatives in the Balkans. Through this program, the collective gained the opportunity for training and cooperation, as well as the support of the “Ekipa” foundation.

This performance brought together young artists from Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. Young people, students and graduates of art academies, today face limited opportunities for professional work and cooperation with colleagues from neighboring countries. Therefore, this project seeks to provide young people with professional experience, the opportunity to collaborate with artists from different backgrounds, and an inspiring environment that encourages the creation of new friendships, professional connections and acquaintances. The ultimate goal is to contribute to social cohesion through art and creative expression.

In the modern age of technology, interaction between people is increasingly shifting to social networks, often reduced to superficial communication and expression of emotions. In real, physical contacts, especially young people, find it increasingly difficult to build healthy interpersonal relationships – whether they are friendly, business or love.

This performance aims to take the audience out of their comfort zone and confront them with their greatest fears: the fear of not belonging, loneliness, abandonment and death. The idea is to create a space for dialogue without judgment and ridicule, where the authors and the audience will be able to talk openly about love and about the various types of relationships – positive and negative – that can arise from love.

Welcome!

Non-representational physical communication - Thomas Steyaert

Please, bring clothes suitable for movement!

For nearly 14 years now Thomas Steyaert has been investigating what he calls "non-representational physical communication" between performers. At the origin of his artistic practice there was a deep-rooted wish of not wanting to represent or re-enact any movement on stage. He was fascinated with the edgy interaction existing in sport games, with its clear rules and unpredictable outcome, where everything is discussed and fought for in real-time. He started wondering what would happen if such forms of interaction were integrated in an art context, without the objective goals of a game, but adopting subjective goals instead.

Thomas started developing practices aimed at achieving a sustainable feeling of dependency between performers, searching for a sense of cause and effect that would lead to the experience of physical communication. The emerging ever-regenerating flow of physical information resulting from his practice seemed to create multiple meanings, levels of instruction and sensations both for the performers and the audience alike. Through time, this playful research, based on the methodology of movement scores, led to the creation of physical languages that allow performers to engage in “real” physical discussions and create performances by framing those discussions into various artistic contexts. Any form or aesthetic was possible as long as performers stayed faithful to the physical communication practice.

By applying his existing methods to a wider group of participants, Thomas creates performative experiences based on “ non-representational physical communication” practices. In the latest phase of his work, materials/objects are introduced as mediators of the communication between the performers, creating hybrid sculptural elements between performers and the activated object.

This work is an invitation to artists who are interested in the process of researching through performing.

Thomas worked on several projects with Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus (Brussels, BE), KVS (Royal Flemish Theatre), Cirk La Putyka (Prague, CZ), East West Theatre Company (Sarajevo, BIH), MESS International Theatre Festival (Sarajevo, BIH), SARTR (Sarajevo War Theatre, BIH), National Theatre of Sarajevo and Zenica (BIH), Below Zero (Stockholm, S).
Together with Raul Maia, one of his close artistic partners, he develops a project that explores the artistic practice and multiple output potentiality of non-representational physical communication between performers. Within the same context he explores his individual approach and created several works in Europe and abroad.

SARAJEVO NOISE 'N SILENCE SONIC EXPLORATIONS

Deep Listening Workshop & Performance

The project Noise’n Silence was born out of a wish to engage with and explore the sonic dualities and realities of Sarajevo. It is an invitation to experience and discover new ways of perceiving, making and interpreting sounds of everyday life, an invitation to create a condition for a polyphony as a radical force for social change.

At the core of the project lie two basic questions:

1. Can our listening be a stage on which our voices can be heard?
2. Can our voices be a stage on which our listening can be heard?

During a four days workshop, we will engage in a tracing process, we will listen, individually and collectively, to the acoustics of the internal and external spaces we inhabit: the spaces of our mind, breath, body, the architecture, the city. In playful, non- linear and fragmented ways, we will compose a performance with speaking and sounding voice and bodies. The performance will be presented on the final day of the project.

About the method:

Deep Listening, as developed by the composer Pauline Oliveros, explores the difference between the involuntary nature of hearing and the conscious nature of listening. The practice includes bodywork, sonic meditations, and interactive performance, as well as listening to the sounds of daily life, nature, one’s own thoughts, imagination, and dreams. It cultivates a heightened awareness of the sonic environment, both external and internal, and promotes experimentation, improvisation, collaboration, playfulness, and other creative skills vital to personal and community growth.
